    Hey Guys,

Some requested it, and I love the idea of it, so here it is. The start of the BHW Stock Investor's Thread!

Recently, I have had some good success with a company called Vringo you can read about it here: LINK. They paid nicely for me and we are still in the holding positions for settlement and trial, however I took a great amount of capital gains on the 90% influx.

Right now I'm looking at two companies:

NOK ( 2.73 at the time of the post)

I see this being a very nice value buy, we are on the downside of the 52 week, with new products on there way and the holiday season I expect the 4th quarter to be very nice for Nokia. Also I'm a fan of fundamentals + technical analysis and you can see a nice breakout point forming on the charts. Also I'm a fan of the dividend. I'm long NOK, these are just my opinions, and I see this stock reaching conservatively 3.25-3.50 moving into 2013..... but of course I could be wrong.

SIRI (2.56 at the time of the post)

I hate and love this company. Satellite radio has its ups and downs, but with very limited competition and good growth on an upward trend this to me seems like a good place to place on a solid earnings announcement come 10/30. These are just opinions...

Anyways, those are my looks right now, I would love to hear other BHW members strategies or investment ideas?

    Hey Luka,

In that other thread I got the opportunity from a few buddies here in NYC in the finance and really liked the situation, took a rather large stake with 6300 shares, that turned into a great profit. I trade with etrade, keeping it simple, standard transaction fees... I generally invest in stocks that provide nice dividend payouts so I can get 6-8% on my money instead of >1% in the banks. I tend to use about 20% of my capital to put into a little more riskier positions like VRNG. I also play the currency markets (FX) from time to time with www.forex.com

I missed out on this one CLWR (2.63) was 1.30 last Thursday. Part of Sprints purchase. Sprint (S) also had a big past few days

This might be a good stock to play on the earnings on the 23rd.

SNV (2.39) while its a financial corporation they have consistently showed strong earnings each quarter.
