Okay first let's clarify things. I'm not an IM noob. I went from making pennies writing articles to making $700 a day of completely passive income through CPA networks. BHW has given me a lot, so I'm returning some favor. This is just an advice. I know there's a lot of people making a lot more than I do, but there are more people making less. I saw a thread a minute ago on BHW about how to deliver fake traffic to your site so that you can lower your CTR if it's too high and your AM starts giving you trouble. I feel that the majority of people here underestimate how important it is to have a good relationship with your affiliate manager. Seriously folks. Start building a relationship immediately. Talk to him about trivial stuff sometimes, don't just keep it to business. Offer to help sometimes. I even flew to New York once to buy my AM a dinner and hang out with him because he was awesome (story below). If the AM has your back, he'll open new or exclusive offers to you, he will share REAL tips on how to make more money, he'll give you some insider network info etc. E.g. I was making circa $10,000 a month with this one network (not naming it). I've had a great relationship with my AM, he was always giving me payout bumps, giving me tips where the particular offer converts the best etc. One month an advertiser that was worth $4,000 to me decided to pull out and wanted to charge back for the leads. Not just my leads, but everyone else on the network as well. He pulled over $100k from the network. So I talk to my AM and he just said "I got your back bro, we'll figure something out". The next day those $4k I lost were restored to my account. And that's just me and a few other people who had good relationship with him. I don't know how he did it. That was a few months ago, and I recently flew to NYC, met with the guy and bought him dinner. Not much but I think it was a nice gesture. Sometimes I'd deliver BH traffic and naturally my CTR would skyrocket to 25% or something (and it's a 3rd page convert) and instead of my AM nagging about it I'd just tell him "dude I'm delivering some unique traffic, my CTR is high". I'm not telling him it's BH traffic but he knows it, he's not dumb. He said "bro we're all just trying to make $$$" . So I can't stress out how important it is to have a great relationship with your AM. Yeah, sometimes the AM you get assigned to would be an asshole, but that's a different story. Really guys. Build a relationship with your AM, it'll pay off in time. I've been recalling and I think that the good relationship I had with my AMs has saved me over $10k in chargebacks from advertisers.
