the shadiest way to make money with ringtone offers i can think of

i've never done this but i know this would work...

goto radioshack, buy 10 prepay virgin mobile phones, it'll cost you about 300 bucks

pretty much every cpa network on the planet has tone offers...

use the prepay phones to signup at them...

1 phone you can potentially make 500 bucks off if you belong to enough networks


this isn't something you could do all the time but if you need to make a quick grand to invest into some whitehat shit this will work


another method i used to do...

goto a club and tell people you'll pay them 5 bucks to use their cellphone, call a friend sitting at a computer, have them get the number from caller id, goto a tone lp, enter it, you get the code sent to you, call em back with it, easy money. i did this 20 times in one night piss drunk at a club last year just to prove it'd work. spent 100 bucks, made 300 back.

i bet you could even swap out their sim cards if you have a similar phone and sign em up at like 30 tone sites haha get a load of that 1500 dollar phone bill!

It's a creative idea but in reality all the different RingTone offer are run by just a couple companies in the back-end. Best case you'd get 3-4 signups per phone.

This method i don't think would work in canada only in the us...

Borrowing someones phone is great. Hope they don't notice before you leave the club though; you might get punched out! Will the offers actually complete from a pre paid cell? I thought most ringtone CPAs (the ones I've tried any way) tacked on a charge to your mobile bill.

It's a good idea in theory but it doesn't work because the ringtone companies charge you immediately (or at least most of them do) and it takes the $9.99 out of your prepay bill. So you're not making any money this way. I tried this a few weeks ago with different SIM cards but was disappointed in the end.

What bananahands said. They charge the phone, so you can't do many before your pre-paid money runs out. The club idea is just dumb. I mean I can come up with thousands of ideas where you rob people blind. That's not what this forums about.

Interesting "proof of concept". Clever although not sure how legal that is.

They probably could just cancel. Usually, you can just cancel within 30 days and not be billed... Your also not robbing them, they can just call the phone company and report the unknown charge and it should get taken off no problem.

the_demon. do you know what you're talking about? they have to confirm their PIN or reply to the text message in order to confirm payment -- like a double opt in. you can't say that just happened out of nowhere

Please do your research. Most prepaid phones will only give you enough minutes for 1 ringtone signup which at tops will pay $15.

There is a separate thread if you search for "ringtones" that shows how to use prepaid sims to make a small amount of bank. I have tested and it does work, I made a couple hundred on my first 2 tests. I might go back to it once I complete some other projects.
