A couple of days ago, I was just thinking about my time here on BHW and all of the many experiences I have had on this great forum. From the time that I first became a member, I have seen so many changes and have seen a large number of people come and go. But there is one thing hasn't changed . . .
It's the mysterious, seductive power of Black Hat World.
I am certain that you all know what I mean. You have all experienced it (and continue to do so) at least to some degree. It is that unstoppable urge to log on to BHW and see the latest BH methods, or get the latest product, or just to see what the hell is going on.
I remember when I was first a member of BHW, I spent most of the next 6 months doing nothing but browsing the forum. It was just so fascinating. The smart, interesting people and the treasure chest of money making ideas & downloads were absolutely mind-blowing. I couldn't get enough of it. Every day was like Christmas.
Finally, after heeding the many warnings that the experienced members of BHW were saying about getting focused, taking action, and not fooling one's self, I eventually put myself on the right track and actually began to discipline myself enough to be able to split my time between BHW and actually perform the process of internet marketing. It was hard breaking away from the forum's activities at first, but I soon began to see the benefit of it.
I still spend a lot of time on BHW, but for a different reason. Being a moderator takes constant vigilance, and I am happy and proud to be of service to this great community.
So, what is all of this leading to? . . .
Well, basically, it's just intended as a gentle reminder (or a gentle kick-in-the-ass) to those who find themselves locked in the allure of BHW. Don't get me wrong . . . BHW is the BEST forum in the world to learn the greatest, most original, up-to-date internet marketing tactics. But it is important to know that internet marketing is like swimming. You can read 100 books on how to swim, but you won't REALLY know how to swim until you dive into the water.
So what are you waiting for? . . . Your ship will never come in if you don't swim out there and meet it. You don't want to end up someday saying "I could have done this", or "I should have done that." Dive in right now and don't worry about making mistakes. The richest internet marketers are the ones who have made the most mistakes.
Hurry up now . . . Your ship could pull away at any moment.
