    Hi there,

Once again - bringing some information to you from my experiences. None of this is theoretical BS all of it has been proven to work for me, my friends and my colleagues.

You had read it right - the secret to your success is in the SPEED of your actions? What do I mean by this?

How many times have you had this happen to you? Let's say you have your 9 to 5 and you are also trying to work on your business so you can leave your job OR you love your 9 to 5 (because it has a startup feel to it or it is a startup or you just love what you do regardless of the environment) but at the same time you are also trying to build your business - HOW many times did you come back home from work and said to yourself today I will dedicate rest of the day after 5 to building my business and then ended up going down the drain of YouTube videos or pointless Amazon shopping or some other pointless activity that doesn't contribute to your growth?

It really doesn't matter if you are new or advanced - this happens to all of us!

What you have failed to SPEED up your actions - you took rest periods in between. I have done this myself millions of times and this is why I am sharing this with you so that you can replace this habit as well!

This happens more often than you think? The worse part however is that since you have been thinking that you were going to be working on your business your MIND still thinks that you are actually working on your business while your watching pointless videos and goofing around - this my friends is called procrastination. And no matter how new or advanced you are you WILL meet this monster again and again. The secret is knowing how to overcome it because it is always going to be lurking behind us in the shadows.

My solution was this - I decided to accelerate my actions. Here is what I mean. I CUT any breaks in between. ANY rest period I CUT completely.

Here was my schedule then - I would wake up early, do some light exercising, then get into my car and start listening to an audiobook, right after I parked I would still be listening to the audiobook until I got to work, once I did I didn't waste a single second on chatting with people but got RIGHT to work and kept going full throttle until it was over and I had to come back home, I would listen to more audiobooks and once got home ate and RAN to the gym and then came back and started working on my business knowing I only had 2 hours until I had to go to sleep.

Now why am I telling you my entire schedule of when I was working from beginning to the end? I wanted you to see the trick - I NEVER allowed my mind to rest. THIS is the secret. I never allowed myself to sit on my bed and take a 10 minute break - because 10 minute break will almost ALWAYS turn into a few hours of break. We are all lazy creatures. Discipline is a must.

Once you don't allow yourself to rest and you cut out the rest periods from your day you are basically accelerating your actions, accelerating the way your brain works and THIS finally puts you in a state of flow where you can accomplish LOTS of things in a short amount of time.

It is a delusion to think that you will get tiered if you don't take 10 minutes of break - remember the MORE energy you spend the MORE energy is available for you. Take advantage of that. Most people don't know about this.

I have been very deeply affected by this myself, wasted much time and this is the reasons again why I decided to put down everything in such a detail because I know some people out there would DEFINITELY benefit from this.

Rise to the top. Nothing but the best to you all and hope this helps in your journey.

While i agree with most of what you say, working none stop is not healthy and will put you in an early grave.. Usain bolt didn't become the fastest man in the world by running 24/7.

"I never allowed myself to sit on my bed and take a 10 minute break - because 10 minute break will almost ALWAYS turn into a few hours of break. "

A ten minute break would be a 10 minute break if you were disciplined and committed to getting your work done.

I agree with you dude - I also try to spend as much time as I can developing my ideas and earning money- I read in bed, work before I get up (from iPhone) etc.

only two things I would say different:

1.as you mentioned, doing other things like exercise is very important- you need challenges away from work to strengthen your mind, and to let ideas develop in your head.

2.i think sometimes, especially when you have new ideas, it's important not to jump in to developing them, but to have a period where you don't take action - let the idea develop in your head, sleep on it etc, then decide if it's worth investing your time into.

Your post is obviously accurate. Exercising your mind and body is helpful for success. Action is what produces results. Results = $$$$.

I disagree. A 10 minute break every few hours is very important to fuel up energy

If might sound kind of stupid but every time I start thinking I need a break from staring at my screen I go jog down the road and back.

Nice technique. Although for me personally, I found the opposite to be the case. I used to work 14 hour days and after I learned about ultradian rhythm, I've cut my workdays down to about 6 hours (not including breaks). I work less, but get more done. Also a lot healthier and haven't gotten sick in about 3 years. I spend most of my free time working on my health, body, and being in the moment so that ideas flow to me. Creativity seems to flow more freely when your mind is not cluttered.

One of the key things I learned that's helped me the most was understanding the difference between being productive, and just "being busy". You can be busy working 14 hours, but 6 hours of focused attention broken up into work blocks works so much better. At least for me. Everyone is different so I recommend everyone to try out different models and see what works for them. Keep a log and actually record how much work you are getting done each day (and the importance of the tasks you finish). You might surprise yourself.

I definitely agree but if you constantly do this, you will get burnt out every now and then.

You will see what I mean after doing this every single day for 6-12 months straight.

I've learned that it's good to dedicate 2-4 hours of your day doing something else besides working.

If you are in the situation as avocado plugins described which is taking way too much rest then what he wrote is spot on.

Everyone is unique and similar at the same time. We all have faces (similarity) but we look unique and different. So for me, it really helps what avocado plugin wrote. I like how it is written that he RAN to the gym. Everything is being done quickly and with speed. Seems like a fast paced fun life.

I will definitely implement this and see how much more I can accomplish.

I also like this statement, "remember the MORE energy you spend the MORE energy is available for you"
Will put it to use and see how it goes for me.

The occasional break is good, but the fundamental point you've made is sound, you will indeed get there quicker.

there are no hard set rules, if you feel good with a break that is very fine. It all matters how productive you are.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

I find it very interesting to see the divide between people who are all about going at it with no breaks and people who say that breaks are necessary for success.

I do agree with both as confusing as it sounds - I will try to explain.

Back then when I was just starting out I needed rest because my body wasn't used to the pressure + my mind couldn't handle all the management and new information.

Though with time I have realized that my body and mind stops getting tiered if I push passed a certain limit.

NOW, it might be that it is different for everybody - could be a fair reason or it also could be that there are age differences. For example when I am 40 or 50 I will be taking more rest while still working towards my goals, but in early 20s and 30s I think your body is much more immune to stress and workload so might as well use it to the fullest.

I would agree that maybe taking a day of break here and there could be beneficial but anything more than a day makes me feel like I will fall away form my momentum.

Direction is so much more important than speed. Many are going nowhere fast.

I made this text much bigger so everyone can read that. :)
Before you increase your speed, Be sure you are going to the right direction. :D

haha well right, I was assuming that one has his/her priorities in check and has done the niche market research before heading into building a business in the first place.

If that's not the case then direction definitely should come first! :)

Google> Procrastination: is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones...

It's true that we all need to take actions more faster.

But we need to focus on what are the most productive times through out the day, for some maybe in the morning, when you get up exercise for 20 minutes and then get to work, cause when you get up early everything is quiet and we can focus on getting job done without distractions, so 3-4 hours of productive work like that is better then 8 hours of 'busy' work we can get a lot more done in less time. After 3-4 hours of work we can have a break from work to analyze what we already did that day. Since it's only morning you can get some book you want to read, have a lunch, etc.. we don't want to get burned out..

Another thing to boost your productivity is, like Robin Sharma calls it, second wind workout, when we exercise we release dopamine (Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps control the brain's reward and pleasure centers. Dopamine also helps regulate movement and emotional responses, and it enables us not only to see rewards, but to take action to move toward them.) so 30-40 minutes of afternoon exercise can really boost our productivity and we can work for another 4-5 hours with laser-like focus.

This thing is really good and I personally tried it and you feel really motivated and ready to take actions immediately.
