The Search Function

Main reasons I dislike the search function right now:

#1 Exact match on results is too important. Like over the top too imoportant

#2 Discussion in the thread bares almost little weight to the ranking of that thread

#3 Very hard to see the value of a result with just a quick glance, since top 20 results are "keyword"

#4 Length of OP post bares also no weight on the ranking of that thread?

examples: When I type seo or domain parking in the search, the anchor threads, not even sales threads pop up. Just some threads named "seo" or "domain parking" as first 10 answers. The value within the thread should matter a lot more than just hitting the right keywords.

Its because linkwheels are so 2015 on bhw

Agree - everything I search for now brings back the literal result - which I guess is good in theory but in reality it doesn't work out.

I can't think of an example now but like op said anything I search for it seems only to return threads with the search term as the only thing in the title thread and no relevant threads show up. Next time I get example I'll post it.

i second this, i find that alot of threads dont even have replies in some them so it pretty makes them useless when trying to search for the answer to something

Samples would be really useful, what are you specifically trying to search for that you can't find?.

Searching for domain parking? restrict your search into the relevant forum under "search in Forums" and order by relevance.

If the regular search isn't working for you hit the advanced search (more) there are 4 different types of search with many options under each search. Including minimum number of replies so you're not finding empty threads.
