Its funny that I see so many threads about "the quality of posts isn't what it used to be". Its so funny infact, that I had to make a whole new thread to explain the simple theory behind it. For those of you who complain about that, think about this. Have you ever watched sports? When football first started, for the first few years players were making and breaking records left and right. Why? Because it was a new sport. Over time those records have become harder and harder to break because they have been pushed to their limits. I mean how easy is it to beat a 110 yard kickoff return when the whole football field (including end zones) is only 120 yards? Anyways, with that being said, one can surely understand the common sense behind it. Im done explaining. Anyone who can't accept simple common sense and wants to leave bhw, don't let the door hit you on your way out. Have a nice day :)

You are absolutely right. We have seen so much quality over the years that most of the posts now look "low-quality".

Here's my reply to that thread. I was quite angry seeing that thread, so made such a huge post. :D

Lol, yea. I have seen quite a few threads like that over time. I love it when they say they are leaving bhw forever (like we really give a shit that they are not gonna hang around and leech anymore lol) "Oh nobody is spoonfeeding me anymore, this place sucks!" lmao

Well what can one say folks I guess that explains it all!

Such is the appropriate description that my learned friend the OP - and one of my best buddies makes reference to football which has improved so much in America C'est le Vie... But no one hardly hears a mention of the game outside the USA

For us Europeans this is what football is all about

    [IMG][/IMG]

Ex Manchester United now a legend at Real Madrid...

Just added the Image to ensure the OP has opened a Quality Thread:cool:

I remember a guy having started a thread wherein he said that he wants to leave BHW because it's not the same as it used to be few years back. Although he was trolled, but there were few members who explained him why he should stick to BHW. Finally, he changed his mind and decided to not leave the forum. This is all attention seeking tactics.

BHW is the best damn community around...Let them do what they wish. Hell I am even willing to give them
a quick $10 method so they can sign up on some gimmick forum.

BHW is where true business, marketing and friends come together.

    Cheers

As I posted on the other thread:

BHW is more than a conventional IM forum, it is a community. A community does more than just share the rational & functional threads, it goes beyond this- there is an emotional link between members, a link only found in strong communities. Personal posts & threads are all part of being in a community.

Exactly! People get bent out of shape over lounge posts, but for one, thats what the lounge is for, and most importantly, it brings bhw members closer together. I can't count how many great friends I have gained from bhw, and how many different cultures I have learned about in my years here. Thats one of the things that makes this such a great place. Plus we have the population of a mid sized city :)

I vented exactly the same thoughts a few days ago in a different section. This soapbox talk about noobs and shit started to get a tad weary... It's not like you're forced to open a thread, you have a list of titles conveniently there to sum up what you're gonna find inside if you perform the next action, that's not mandatory folks.. The same action performed on youporn might yield a better ehm ROI should you get really annoyed or bored with this forum... lol ;)

I couldn't of said it any better myself! That is the one thing that makes me love BHW, my skype list has grown rather big since joining BHW. Yeah some of them are complete noobs and can get annoying at times asking the same questions, but I could pick out atleast 10 -15 people on my list that I enjoy talking to every day, people who I like shareing ideas with and just learning about different cultures! How many people do we all know in the real world that could turn around and say they know people from croatia, romania, USA, uk, even pakistan a country that's know for it's lack of wealth! I remember saying something along the same lines of this in another thread about low quality posts 2 or 3 days ago.. BHW is the best, end of :)

I agree with other members here about why the quality of posts seem to have waned but one other observation I've seen is noobs lack of manners.

Now I know asking for thanks or rep is taboo but once you've been in this game as long as some of us have it's only proper manners to thank someone that has taken time to contribute useful information or advice. I'm not complaining on my behalf but on behalf of others that take time to start giveaways, post discount coupons or offer solid advice or solutions and I've seen threads where 25-50 members respond saying count me in, or can I have the method or can I get a review copy and not a single fricking thanks to the member that contributed. Now what is that person's incentive to contribute again? He might think his contribution wasn't worth a shit because nobody could take a second to click the thanks button. If you find a post useful then the least you can do is click frickin THANKS (I'm trying hard to reduce my swearing). If you want knowledgeable people to keep serving up their experiences or hard earned education you better damn well tell them thank you or they might just figure what the hell. Damn members can't even say thanks for the info I just gave them that cost me a time and money.

You get out what you put in and it's only proper etiquette to say thanks when someone helps you or offers you something for free. Ignore that Thanks button and you might see the less and less members taking the time to share or give stuff away. Just saying.....

I've noticed a few threads like that recently aswell, loads of great giveaways (I've grabbed a couple aswell) but no one gives there thanks or rep! For instance the other day a member named crusty gave away twitter, hotmail and yahoo accounts I beleive. I jumped on that because currently I'm going threw hotmail accounts like no tomorrow! The guy sent me 40 instead of the original 20, I was exstatic! First thing I done was say thanks via pm, then clicked thanks and +repped.. I read threw his thread and he had given out over 160 accounts across loads of different members! That's alot of copy, paste and pm'ing! Yet not even half of the people who received had bothered to come back and click one simple button to say thanks! It's because of WF chargeing the $10 to join now that BHW is rceiveing a rush of extra sign ups from people with hardly any manners. Hopefully mods and admin can get it under control somehow!

The volume of shitty posts has definitely increased at least due to the memberbase growing. Whether the quality of posts has relatively gotten worse, i dont know. I do know that im seeing alot of idiots begging for handouts and asking for the best way to scam adsense for 30$, shit gets annoying.

As more and more members join BHW, the amount of
spammers, scammers, etc. goes up as well. The best
we can do is find them fast and eliminate them.
However, on the positive side, we also gain some
members who eventually turn out to be an asset to
    BHW . . . Such is the balance of Yin/Yang. :)

I do have to agree the quality of posts has gone down a little bit. But overall I have still found a lot of members to be helpful.

The only thing I really dislike is the number of "dead" (I am talking about threads from 2009) threads that get bumped back to the top because some noob posts just to make that 15 post count.

    Oh well such is life.
