    Scienstists just created an AI bot to emulate the highest european court. Decisions are 75% correct with real decisions made by court.

    The main danger is that not common worker will be the first victim but programmers, developers, administrators, IT people and internet marketers.

    Now we have bots like massplanner but people, this is to AI. Imagine AI, your job will be just button start clicking. Is it good? I don't think so because your knowledge will be not necessary.

    ...and I think we have 10-30 years to become rich until everything become so easy for each kid. The best for now is business, passive income and ofcourse IM

    btw. game Age of Empires was made by 30 people, 20 years ago, today I can make a copy in 3 weeks...alone

    There are no AI bots. We are not even close to inventing a conscious machine. People often confuse machine learning aka patter recognition with AI. Pattern recognition is not AI. The problem of pattern recognition algorithms is that they base purely on historical data. They cannot handle data that has no previously identified pattern in it.

    What advocates and prosecutors do in courts is basically sophistic. It cannot be replicated with machine learning.

    You are totally wrong on multiple levels. Common workers will be the first victims of automation. They already are. ATMs have replaces booking offices, tourniquets have replaced fare inspectors, OCR has replaced typists, taxi calling apps are replacing taxi call center operators. Foxconn - the company that manufactures Iphones, DELLs and other electronics - fires assembly line workers by tens of thousands to replace them with robots. Automated public transport, then cargo and possibly personal transport will possibly leave drivers without work.

    Who's the winner? Engineers. If you don't believe, try hiring one. Computer engineers are earning multiple times more than an average salary in almost any country in the world.

    The demand for computer engineers could only decrease in two cases:
    1. We will create a robot capable of inventing new robots which is hugely unlikely at the present stage.
    2. Computer engineers will be overproduced as it happened with common engineers in the middle of the XX century.

    Technology is only going forward. It's a human's instinct to advance, learn new things. I recommend you and everyone to check this video:

    It talks about technology and civilization's future. The video talks about two possibilities:

    1. Technology get's to a point where it can't advance anymore, so civilization ends.
    2. Or, humanity keeps advancing until the point where anything can be simulated, so we end up simulating ourselves.
    It's really interesting.

    @Whitman

    Thanks for sharing. Those are definitely ideas I hadn't thought about. Without knowing or reading too much about SpaceX besides the fact that it was created with the purpose of discovering a way to allow us to live on other planets, do you think once SpaceX gets to Mars, do you think there will be a push to advance faster towards self replicating robots and kind of create another Space Race if you will?

    I'm amazed that it took Square only a year to make Final Fantasy VI, despite it being one of the Super Nintendo's greatest achievements. Nowadays we have Unity and Unreal Engine 4, which allow us to make games on the fly with presets. Back then everything was made from scratch and they had to rely on older programming languages to get shit done.
