This is the noobiest question ever, but I have never had to do this before, I bought a product of someone of Egay and basically it doesn't work, I want to know how do I go about getting my money back for it.

Like I said it is noobish but I really don't know.

Can anybody please help, I really don't mean to sound pushy, but I really need to get this done, the guy is just p*****g me off now.

Thanks

Go to ebay and contact your seller first. If he doesn't respond file a dispute with Paypal.

I paid by paypal, I have contacted the seller and he is not interested he just keep trying to put it off, I want my money back because the product doesn't work.

Dispute with paypal, you can leave neg feedback, and hurt their quality scores.

Go to your dispute console and open a "significantly not as described" dispute.

Its Very easy just file a claim with PayPal stating the product arrived not working and the seller will not contact you back .The money will be put on hold in his account untill he responds .Even if the add says no returns PayPal will 97% of the time go in favor of the buyer not the seller .Paypal will force him to take action when ever he replies make sure you are on top of it and reply back quickly to PayPal also be professional on your replys dont be personal state the facts Paypal doesnt real care about your personal feelings there not your Girl Friend so if you stick with the facts you have a very high chance of getting your rmoney back no problem .I hope this helps if you need more info PM me ...

he actually send the product but it doesn't work?
just fill a claim and select the "not as described" option on paypal

Exactly. File a dispute with PayPal. I think there is a category like Defective Product, or Product Not as Asdvertised, etc. If the guy doesn't reply in a specific amount of time, you get the refund.

Thanks all I have filled in the resolution form and just have to wait now.

You can add comments to the dispute, these are read by paypal, If the seller was a jerk include those messages, telling papal the original messages can be provided on request.

As a long time ebay seller, please try to resolve the situation by message/email or paypal dispute before leaving negative feedback.

We have received various negative feedbacks by people not even letting us know what happened first, and giving a chance to rectify the situation, which I would gladly do.

But by leaving negative feedback first, then I go back and fix the problem, but eGay only allows 5 feedbacks to be revised per every THOUSAND received. I think that is absolutely ridiculous, and a large reason why I am trying to leave their company.

Anyhow, sorry to step off the original post for a minute, but a PayPal dispute definitely works as it yanks the money from their paypal account. Then they should be much more willing to help :)

I have tried really hard to be reasonable with the person in question and they just keep trying to throw obstacles in the way and avoid giving me my money back, the person was in the wrong and they know this, now I am going down the route of filing a resolution form and if that doesn't work then I have no option but to file a dispute and leave the negative feedback which I really don't want to do.

Thanks

If they are giving you the runaround and being a jerk, then by all means go all out :) This was more for just in general. :)

Oh no I totally agree with what you are saying and you should go the way you suggested it's just sometimes you can't avoid it, what makes me laugh is the person in question has messaged me back 3 times today and now Iput in this dispute and he ignores it lol, it makes you wander doesn't it.

Dude, hacking isn't allowed here. It's other ways that are more effective for revenge, just file a dispute or something ^^

I hope it works out.
