i know everyone's been talking about this for weeks now, but hopefully its not too old of news ;)

i wasn't even going to catch this one in the theaters despite all the hype because i am so tight on cash right now. my dad saw it in IMAX and when i told him this he insantly was like "are you f'in crazy dude? here's the cash, go see it tonight"

so my buddy and i went to catch it in IMAX last night and before i get into anything, i should say that i am the LAST guy to get into all the hype about movies. very, very rarely do i ever see a movie that everyone is OMG OMG OMG'ing about and come out sharing the same sentiments.

with that being said, holy FUCK dark knight was one of the greatest movies i have seen in the theaters for a VERY long time. especially for being a 2 and a half hour epic! this movie was fucking incredible, from beginning to end. i'm definitely going to catch it again in IMAX (the only way to go) and get all my buddies who haven't seen it in IMAX yet to go with me.

and for all of you who saw it in a regular theater, GO SEE IT IN IMAX. i went with two of my buddies last night who saw it in a regular theater and thought it was great, but weren't blown away... after the IMAX showing they said it was a completely different experience and puts a whole new light on the movie. i hadn't seen a movie in IMAX for YEARS and after this, i am going to be attending a lot more IMAX flicks in the future.

    FUCK, TDK was in-fucking-credible.

check out this joker painting i saw on ebay:

sold for $100, honestly would have bought it if i had the cash right now. however, lucky for me my buddy is an AMAZING artist and i am going to see if i can kick him some scrill to replicate something like that for me.

Yea I went opening weekend, I wanted to see it in IMAX but it was a 6 day wait. Im going to go see it again in IMAX when things settle down a bit.

But yea I agree, one of the best , maybe the best movie Ive seen.

IMAX isn't too bad right now... I saw it last night at a very popular mall in Orange County and was only in line for an hour before the movie and scored perfect seats. I imagine if you see it on a weekday, or even next weekend, you won't be facing too much of a crowd.

Gotta snag your ticket on Fandango if it's on a weekend though.. 11 PM was the last showtime (when I saw it) and when I was in line to pick up my tickets they announced it was sold out at about 9:30. the ticket purchasing line was instantly cut in half, so many people walking away disappointed with their heads down, haha. had to of been such a buzzkill for them!

Hey, I'm in the same area. :) I watched it on IMAX at the spectrum too and yeah, it's a fucking awesome movie.

A little tip. There's some fandango promotional codes being sold on ebay. Buy that and use it for some discount. Definitely catch it on IMAX if you can but make sure you get the good seats. I would hate to have been the ones in the front row or the corners.

Oh shit! Where about in OC are you from? I live in San Diego now, but am visiting OC right now. You know they opened a new IMAX theater in OC too, it's right next to Disneyland. There this whole new Spectrum/Block type mall they built in Anaheim.

And I checked up on the Fandango coupons, but I'm only seeing coupons that say good for up to a $13.50 ticket. Can I use the coupon and pay the difference for an IMAX ticket? What did you do?

Dude my home town is in San Diego. :) Right now I live in Irvine though, like 10 mins away from the spectrum.

I don't know how the $13.50 tickets work but this was what I bought off ebay:

    Code:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/4-Fandango-Codes-Movie-Passes-tickets-51-Value-Regal_W0QQitemZ300245458676QQihZ020QQcategoryZ1306QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It was perfect for what I needed. I had to pay the difference for the IMAX tickets but it still saved me over $20 overall. You have to buy each ticket one at a time though.

And another tip. Buy it through your own affiliate link. I did and ended up saving $1.19 extra. Lol.

See this movie even if it's the only movie you see this year! My closest IMAX theater went defunct so I couldn't see it in IMAX, still an amazing movie, though.

pretty damn good flick... HL was amazing... Saw it a few days ago and can't say that I was absolutely blown away, but it would have been hard tonkive up to the hype it has gotten. Movie of the year guaranteed!

Just an excellent movie all around. After losing Tim Burton they finally have another genius director at the helm of the franchise. He's gonna do a third one too...

The tense beginning just sucked me in immediately and I stayed into it for the full 2 1/1 hours. But I'm getting real tired of Morgan Freeman playing "Morgan Freeman" in every movie he's in. Dude needs to step up and take a challenging role...

morgan freeman won't be doing anything challenging now that he has had a serious accident.
so, better get used to it!
