When I first started out on BHW and IM in general, I read and read and learned about all the BH techniques. I read how X software did this, Y software did that and all the rest of it.

I bought some software tools and got to work, all the while tracking results and reading more and more about techniques and basic BH principles.

The funny thing is, the more I understand about BH and the more data I get from tracking my results, the more I realize that 99.9% of all tools and 'amazing' software tools don't really achieve much.

I used SENuke, article submitters, RSS Submit and all the rest but I didnt think too much of them.

So now I cancelled my SENuke membership and the only tools I really use are Market Samurai (to track rankings), SEOQuake, various google tools and yahoo search and trained human beings who I outsource labour intensive manual tasks to. There really is no substitute for a human beings properly trained (and cheaper than SENuke membership if they are productive).

Anyone else had similar experiences or am I talking bulls**t (which I totally understand I may be). If so, what piece of software am I missing out on that really could make a difference?

Interesting. Which tasks do you outsource? Blog commenting?

There is no software that does it all for you, you need to learn how to operator and correctly use software to generate results, for example SENUKE has been proven to bring amazing results if you use it correctly, it's just learning to use the software correctly. :)

i honestly think it has more to do with your goal and with what tools you use. I personally use article marketing to promote a product based site. i pay upwards of 5 bucks a article but on average get 150 clicks (not article views) a month once the articles been submitted to the top 2-3 sites. for me its cheaper than ppc.

i get traffic but not many nearly as many backlinks as some other methods and my rankings in my serps don't improve greatly just from it.

but none the less i get traffic. so before you use a tool ask urself what result you're trying to get

Hey Lost Tribe, so do you use any specific tools for your article marketing or is it manual submissions (either yourself or outsourced)?

Do you use any tools to promote the articles once you have submitted them - like social bookmarking, RSS feeds etc?

I 100% agree with you. I use to have SENuke and UAW but I canceled all subscriptions because you still need manual labor work to get ranked on serps.

SENUKE and UAW solely won't rank you on serps.

I now spend my money on outsourcing workers instead of monthly subscriptions for SEO tools ;).

I still disagree that having fully automated or fully manual resources as being the way to go.

The advantage of manual resources is that they look much more natural to search engines in small groups and they can do some tasks, such as writing, in a better fashion.

The advantage of automation is that fact that you can do hundreds of thousands of actions as a sole person.

So why not outsource a job using an automated tool on a small scale?

It's probably because these tools are meant to solve "programming problems" rather than publishing problems. How to do more with less is a basic "programming problem" while how to develop readership and how to write compelling articles are basic publishing problems.

As a programmer, I'm excited to learn about these techniques, but as a publisher, I find them too distracting.

    Hey Johnny,

This really isn't the place to explain this buy what the hey. i do a few things

1, i found a good content writer, that's why i pay 5 sometimes 6 bucks for 500 words. even ordering 100 articles the price doesn't change. But its interesting content and that's what my goal is.

1.5 Article titles, it took me a long time and a lot of testing to see what titles caught the readers eye. things like"top 10 blah" or "5 secrets to blah" or "how to find blah and blah". type titles catch way more eyes than "how to lose weight in 60 days." Also putting your keyword first like "Ladies jewelry guide for men - what you need to know" Ladies jewelry being the keyword.

seems to work very well getting the articles to show up for long tail keywords in google. I've been able to get to #1 on 4-5 term longtail keywords in 45 min. not that it lasts for long but hey anything helps.

    2. i post ALL my articles on my domains blog first, then wait 2-3 days to republish them on the article sites. (done purely so G thinks im not duplicating my content)

    3. I use Ezine articles, go articles, isnare and buzzle. for a majority of submissions. All done manually, but well worth it.

    4. I do ping all the articles through pingler, but i just started that recently not sure if it's helping.

    5. i use magic article rewriter/submitter after about another week to spin and submit my articles to about 800 directories. of the 800 about 300 or so approve. That's done purely for backlinks not to improve article traffic.

I took a screen shot of my ezine stat's I've been doing this for about 10 months now.

I gotta say it feels nice to share :) this is my first real post on bhw

Well, I am an article writer myself and I earn money through writing articles. However, when I was working for an IM guy and he want me to do all the bullshit work write articles, do the SENuke and UAW thing... things got so overwhelming and even digesting all the instructions on how to do this and that really gets me crazy for some time. I did not even understand why I am doing the Senuke and UAW and spin articles for 4-5 times and come to a point of running out of synonyms and words ... and when I read the final output of the spinned articles, well they look okay but quite redundant.

I see it in my very own eyes, the website of my IM boss goes to #4 and #3 using SENuke. But it was kinda of tedious job for me since I got a lot of writing gigs as well. I never understood the concept but when I saw the results well, I am quite impressed that Senuke does work after all.

The subscription is quite big but the results is really great if you use the software to its maximum level everyday that is. So that you will not regret using it.

I think the problem of most people who have Senuke and UAW and other related software is that they don't do the work everyday. They just let the days pass by without using it. This is the reason why they might think it doesn't work. Simply because people did not even bother to use to its maximum level.

As for me, if I raised enough capital to have my own website, I will definitely get Senuke right after I prepare all the articles, spinned articles and other plans set up so that when I will have the software no time will be wasted and I can use it everyday. Therefore, money well spent:)
