The Layoff madness stay strong people

Meta, Strpie, Liveramp, Twitter and who knows how many more big tech companies will join this layoff bandwagon. It’s shit show and I feel for the people. I hope they find a new job soon.

Ehhh. Even with my freelancing I had issues, lost my biggest client and still didn't close anyone yet. But 2 more serious sales dms going right now, hopefully they'll both close, or one at least.

Most of us freelancers, since a few years ago have correctly predicted that big tech companies would mass fire their employees. However, sorry to say, but those working for such big tech companies are like a herd of sheep whose dreams, life & oxygen are only and only these big tech companies. Once fired and unable to join another big tech company, they will be lost & clueless. I do sincerely wish them good luck, however, most of them would still have their minds imprisoned within their "big tech companies" dreams, unable to unshackle themselves and then finally "I am new to internet marketing, I want to make US$5000 from the 1st month, please help (spoon-feed) me" : Even then, they would remain unrealistic, shackled within their "big tech companies" type of mindset.

i support elon musk. when a company is not making enough profit its good to dump useless employees and take talented one.

Elon wants to make Twitter into WeChat (one app for everything). He will definitely hire more later after this dump.

It is not that the employees are useless. The fired / to be fired employees are mostly the content moderation related employees. With Elon Musk takeover, such content moderation staff would not much be needed because of Elon Musk's plan to allow a lot of free speech on the platform and thereby drastically reducing the need for content moderation on the platform.
