Hey guys, I'm not sure if you've had the chance to play this game, so this thread will contain SPOILERS! DO NOT READ FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO RUIN THE EXPERIENCE FOR YOURSELF.

I played this shit and honestly, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it was the best game I have ever played. Period. To be frank, it gets so intense sometimes, almost too intense to handle and the way they pace that shit makes me hate and love to play it. It's just ridiculous. I mean it's like...emotionally, physically and psychologically intense to the point where I *need* to cool off a bit before going further.

The thing that got me was the relationship between Joel and Ellie. Specifically the end. First of all, I think Joel is a sociopathic monster who has basically set Ellie up to be his dead daughter (in his mind). And Ellie is okay with that, because I do feel like she knows subconsciously that he lied when he said there was no possibility of a cure. God damn, what amazing writing. I'm honestly trying to wrap my brain around this story because I feel like it's a very deep psychological horror game because the real monster is Joel who has kept Ellie in a prison of his own making rather than accepting the world for what it is. She was ready to die - he was not ready for her to go. Thoughts?

I dont see anything wrong with getting involved in a game I guess. Was a very cool looking game, i played about 30 mins of it and just couldnt get past the repetitive nature of the challenges

I didn't care for the game; Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov was better.

    Yes, I'm insinuating that.

Agreed! One of the best games I have played in a long time!

The game play was good, the story was amazing and does all the work to suck you into the game. The downside is, once played, trying to play it again it is just nowhere near as fun as you already know the story :(

So no replay value, but amazing games first time through...it got game of the year for a reason even against a lot of other excellent games.
