What do you do when you have been kicked in the nuts? You lie there curled up for a bit, waiting for the pain to lessen. You get up, even though it still hurts like hell. Maybe you stick your hands down your pants to make sure they are still there. Count them. You know... Guy things.

So now you are standing again. You look at the guy that did it. You now face a choice. Do you walk away? Do you attack? Or do you retreat? Get stronger? Get better?

The last few months have been crazy. If I had to recount everything that happened, it would sound like a really bad country song. I had a wife (turns out wifey has trouble controlling herself when she drinks vodka). I had a job (turns out boss has trouble resisting the advances of the wife when she drinks vodka). Boss ended up with a bloody nose, wife ended up with my money and kids. I ended up on the unemployment line.

So I am here, recounting my journey. I am going to bust my ass to reach the lofty goal of a 6 figure writer. In the distant past (15+ years) I won a few awards for creative writing and had an essay or two published.

So far I have a laptop, a phone, mobile internet and the beginning of an idea on how I am going to make it happen.

I am going to start bidding on projects on this forum and create a gig on fiverr. Once I have built some trust and established a reputation (+testimonials) I will give Upwork a try.

My goal with this thread is to share my journey and to show that no matter what happens, as long as you get back up again you will be okay. I will update it at least once a week, so be sure to check back often!
