The Gurus say "Money is in the List"-How many of the blackhatters Agree?

My personal experience is......i once built a list of 10,000 visitors to my site.....I couldn't mile even 1$ emailing them....Most of the people who join lists do with a Junk email-id and are Free-seekers.

Hey...Blackhatters...Do you think building List is worth it?Or is it a waste of time?Share your views here.....

Definately worth it, though u should look at getting list software to install on your own server.

I agree -- the money is in the list.

That said it is not in the initial list you generate from you site. Rather the $ comes from cleansing the list, verifying the info and cultivating/culling the list over time.

Getting information is the easy part -- taking the time to whittle a list of 100,000 randoms to 10,000 active people is the magic.

If your list comes as part of your marketing then it's worth it, if on the other hand you are looking at building a list from scratch that are proven converters, you need to get them converting first.

If you have a list of targeted converting people, it's worth it's weight in diamond encrusted platinum truffles

Building email lists is definitely worth it.

But you definitely have to work at it.

Once you have an initial list, you need to clean that up into a prospects list, and then a buyers list and so on...

This will not only help you spend the right amount of time on the right lists, but it also help you keep everything in order.

I found this way of "cleaning" my lists to be highly effective for me and boost my conversions as well.

actually i beg to differ with these list building because nowadays people are shrewd, very shrewd. unless u actually take the time to build a relationship with ur list it is pretty pointless..so have all them newsletters ready, abt 10 of those b4 attempting to make money off them

The point of a list is to build a relationship with them. If you don't then you'd be better off not even trying to build one.

Hell yeah. This is explosive in IM.

You must keep a consistent relationship with them though (mail them at least 8 times a month) or you'll become a spammer to them

Offer them tips and product recommendations. I have a small list of 8K and milk out $2000 every monthly product email (affiliate commissions).

    Build that List Buddy :)

I think you see that even Blackhatters agree that the money is in the list. Many people spend advertising dollars just to build lists with no money made on the front end. They know with that list that they can sell multiple times over the life of the list. BUt, like other people said, be careful and don't try to sell them something in every email you send out. Give them some advice and tips to chew on some too.

Do you suggest building a list for adult dating sites w/ youtube traffic? If so do I add email capture to landing page or change page into pure email capture page?

Agree, the money is in the list! point is to differentiate yourself with the rest and to give them a reason why they should and want to buy from you
