    Hi guys,

Lets face it things are changing and changing at a pain in the arse rate when it comes to ranking within google itself so much red tape some say its a good thing weeds out the trash but others get punished for not reaching certain targets of no fault of their own. I have lost around 6 sites in the gaming niche over the past 3 months every time it has been due to a "mass spam" warning. I had 2 over turned. I lost one last night and have decided it may be best to just move away from this niche when it comes to "CPA" offers. As far advertising and product placements there is still money to be made as long as there are no "dodgy" links. Or as i have seen overlays, tools etc.

Now 2 of my sites are whitehat ranking those are the 2 that got overturned of course but not without moving a shed load of content links and "bulking" things up. Now the other sites that Im not even going to try overhauling follow a lot of BH techniques that have worked for my other niche related sites that are still ranked. I just feel it would be quicker to just setup a new site and start again.

Since some of these sites were up for a few years it leads me to believe something has been targeting these kind of sites. Talking to a few people that have said the same thing who run game cheat specific sites are just getting the "mass spam" notification and that's the end of it. The last site that got hit had reached page 1, 2 days ago has been live for 6 months and bam its gone. As soon as it hit page one it was removed. Strange right? This was for MOD APK files - strangely there real but I ask users to fill in cpa offers to get them. Guy needs to be paid right? apparently this is classed as mass spam.

I don't go all out and never get any other type of warning its just alarming to have this "mass spam" plastered over everything.

So for anyone out there who is ranking for game cheats [email protected] and tools etc are you noticing anything odd about your google ranking removal etc or is this something you have noticed for a long time? Now owning these sites for 1 - 2 years id never come across this before but yeah too much over the past 3 months has hit my sites for me to want to ask has anyone else come across this. Feel like im wasting my time building my sites in this niche. Ill still keep the 2 white hat ones of course for ads etc.

This is for black hat ranking sites for game cheats on google. You all know which ones im talking about :D

Use 301s to hide your links... This will prevent most manual reviews. I'm not in the gaming market, but if there's big money (I'm not certain there is), I'd recommend thinking twice before leaving it.

Got two sites hit with manual spam penalty in the same niche also. I believe it has to do with competition reporting or sending neg. Seo.
Could be the people who completed the CPA offer and got nothing then reported the site, but there are still a lot of BIG sites on the niche ranking well for hard keywords,ie: Clash of Clans Hack.

Yeah I was thinking it might have been a mass report as I am seeing a lot of sites being taken down. Some of the big names have gone over the past few months and have tried to crawl back up.

@yugejackpots I shall look into that.

How true. Except that it makes 0 sense to report one that isnt ranking for #1 for the most competitive term. Its a shakeup thats for sure. It seems they have a new algo for the hack niche as lots of people on the chat reporting of deindexed as of yesyerday, which mine got hit at the same time. At first I thought I did something "right" for seo, and it never occur to me that it might have been someone else going off the charts above me. Back when I used serpwoo extensively I can spot such movements but the price puts me off. I'd say the invesment is needed depending on how much you're willing to. I somewhat regret I didn't continue with them.

Having custom algo for this niche doesnt make sense at all. There are much more spammier terms out there and google did just mediocre. It might have been someone's son (SOB of course) working as employee wanted the gems so much but got nothing and got so mad he decided to mess with us.

A few weeks back I had 3 PPD sites de-indexed from Google out of nowhere, they were ranked #1 for different terms for 1-3 years. I still don't know what the reason was as there were no messages in WMT and some other sites which shared some of the PBN's are still up and running. I don't care that I lost the sites, but I can't stand that I don't know the reason..

Yep. It sucks to not know the reason which they deliberately don't let you know the reason now. Even if they did, they just seem to throw thin site penalty as we all know is the exact opposite.

If people clicked and stayed for more than 30 seconds by today's standard, it is good enough of a content. It's a custom algo that's my best guess for now.
