SSC Ultimate Aero: SSC stands for: Shelby SuperCars. The name of the automaker.
257 mph - 413 KM/h (Achieved on 13 September in West Richland, Washington, USA).
    0-60 in 2.7 secs
Basic price is $654.400 (What the hell is the $400 for?)

According to wind-tunnel testing at a NASA facility it was proved that the car should actually be capable of reaching the following speed, 273mph or 439km/h!
What keeps the car from reaching that speed, however, is the gear ratios.

...And yes, it's the fastest legal road car, so you can take it on the road providing you abide by the speed restrictions.

Print out the image, stick it close to your computer monitor. Now you have some inspiration to work harder, longer, but when you get yours, please choose a better colour.

The car sits so low the body literally touches the grass.

Would hate to see that thing try to negotiate a speed bump...

It has this weird cantalever style upper A arm with actuators to raise it up off the ground but keep the correct camber in the front and rear. Kinda sketchy if you ask me.

But it is the fastest "production car" on earth *

*It has not been officially homoglodginated (sp?) till they sell 400 units its not technically "production"

Is this the car I heard about on Top Gear.. The company used an old man who had nothing to live for, to test the top speed?..

I'd still take the porsche cgt. Though it is sexy.

Apparently build quality is poor and the car isn't nice to drive. I'll stick to my Veyron thanks. :)

Umm...... I think you may want to do some research on the car before saying the build quality is poor. Billet block, carbon fiber and kevlar body, nasa wind tunnel testing. I would say that is pretty good
