    Lots of lessons from DM's arc for other publishers, for example:

    Retain visitors - DM only has one property really focused on engagement. Use signups, memberships, apps, anything with a value proposition to keep visitor attention
    Don't rely on codependent business relationships - DM banked heavily on organic search, youtube, and domain parking, and lost as heavily when google changed their rules and algorithms. Safe business relationships are those in which if the other party makes a change that makes you lose money, they'll also lose money
    Sustain related business models - arguably the only thing keeping them afloat is their domain registration business. Look for things you consume or provide for your own needs as a publisher that you can sell (or resell)
