I'm sitting here on the deck of my 1700 sq ft house, feeling the prairie breeze, watching an autumn day come to a close and seeing my beautiful wife and my new daughter. Yup, got everything I'll ever need. I'm already a rich man. Wall street can keep it.

Folks, when you watch that video, just remember what wall street did to 99% of the country to pull that insane lifestyle. It wasn't earned, it was taken bit by bit from everyone.

if you have an IM goal to make money, or be rich or even just comfortable, thats great, but don't emulate the assholes in that video. Stay true to who you are and where you came from, be humble and decent and try to look out for your fellow man where possible. You will get a lot more out of life, I promise.

This makes me want to get back into trading again. After I scale up my IM business and get $100k in extra money I'm going back to trading on etrade.

This just shows how different our lives can be. The videos can be both motivational and demotivational, cause I'm not sure many will achieve that lifestyle.

I like that the video is causing so many passionate reactions. It's even causing some deep
thought. Investment banking is at the heart of so many matters we face. It isn't like these trends went away late 2008.
Remember the executives who flew to Washington, DC to beg for bail out money in their private jets and saw nothing
wrong with that until the news told us about it?

To those who are offline or White Hat most of us are predators! We sometimes laugh about the suckers.
These guys are mega predators like the art collector in this video who spent a fortune on a huge shark in embalming fluid.
    Iconic Ironic Style :cool2:

Remember that part of what you said. The problem isn't wall street the problem is the corrupt politicians in both parties who play for pay.

This is what happens when you get a bunch of greedy, power hungry attorneys elected to office.

Then to make things worse they make laws so convoluted and impossible to understand that you have to hire lawyers to interpret it. They create more and more laws to justify their own existence.

If the US were a true capitalistic society we would have let the banks fail or forced them to accept harsh penalties for taking the bailout money. Instead they took the money, grew larger, and still stuck it to the everyday citizen.

Basically, they got their cake and ate it too.

Add to the fact that we are a nation who half of the population feel entitled to so many free services when in fact they don't even pay income tax. Add to that the envy and greed of not just the corporate elite and politicians but the everyday Joe wanting to keep up with the Jones', we now find ourselves in this mess.

We need to stop electing career politicians and money/power hungry lawyers to lead this country. The founders would be rolling in their grave.

I don't get it. Why so much emphasis on material things. They are only that, material. I wonder if they have any life.
I read Casanova who was probably wealthier than they'll ever be. Somewhere i read that in one night of gambling he lost equivavalent of 1.000.000 €. He made a lot but he spent even more. Always generaous, because he had a life and he never worked for money. But these people are looking 12 hours a day at some boring numbers just to buy plain and in those 10 hours a week free time spend it on hookers and cocaine. Money can't buy the most important thing to throughly enjoy in life and that is personality.
