No, I'm not talking about an apocalypse or 2012.

Do you think nuclear war will be inevitable within the next 50-100 years?

If those worst case scenarios do so happen to become true, you better invest some of that IM money into a bomb shelter, a ton of food and water, and stuff to keep you entertained for 50 years.

Darn, I thought you was going to say the end of the world is tomorrow. Oh well.

The world ends when I die. Anything that happens after that I don't care. Now if it happens to end before, at least I'll be around to watch the fireworks. :D

But what if the radiation from a nuclear war turns you into a mutant living in daily constant agony?

Well, I don't have 50 years left. That would make me well over 100. Nope, ain't gonna make it.

Does that mean I'll grow a pair of wings and horns?

Besides, that's what drugs are for. So, I'll sit on my porch getting as high as I can and watch all the mutants run around. Either the drugs or the radiation may kill me.

Also, would this radiation reverse the effects if i just so happen to be a mutant already?
The tail is becoming a bother.

I don't know about that...in my opinion, if the world was meant to end from nuclear war, it would have already happened a while ago.

All countries seem to be somewhat responsible with their nuclear weapons...and if they aren't completely responsible, they aren't blowing up every country on the map.

In my view, the presence of nuclear weapons is the only reason that devaloped nations do not engage in conventional warfare with each other. The world is full of war, but almost all of it is in non-nuclear countries. I am sure someone will come up with an example to the contrary, but the trend is clear. Nuclear weapons have pretty much stopped developed nations from fighting against other developed nations on a large scale.

I don't know about that... According to Murphy's Law, "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong," and that has certainly proven itself in history.

The United States is the most powerful nation in the world. How did things go wrong? How did Bush get elected, then RE-ELECTED? Honestly, if Bush wanted to launch nukes on a nation, he would do it. He passed many bills challenging many laws, even the constitution itself. The legislative branch did nothing but let Bush do his thing.

It is completely possible for another Hitler to rise to power in a first world nation, and then launch nukes like there's no tomorrow. Because of advanced government systems, this has a very low chance of occurring, but it can still happen.

It is not a question of "if" it will happen, but "when" it will happen.

Religion is another big threat. Terrorists will get their hands on nukes sooner or later, and they will use them for Allah or what not.

And nukes aren't the only things stopping nations from attacking each other, now it's all about biological warfare. Imagine every citizen in the U.S. receiving an Anthrax letter... Scary stuff.

Nuclear bombs have been around for a long time now. Yet how many countries have actually used their ************** against their enemies? Only one that I know of: The US.

I doubt we will face a nuclear exchange anytime in the near future. I think your logic is flawed with assumptions.

Nice. Reminds me of the line from The Shawshank Redemption: "Get busy living or get busy dying."
