To skip the intro, skip to 1:30
After watching the video, go check your app store's social app rankings.

I don't think Instagram is going away any time soon. New features are making it even more attractive to users. i.e. stories, and longer videos

    LMAO

    Long story short,
1)Facebook started with a young audience, which brought in parents
    2) Twitter started with younger audience which brought in the parents
    2) instagram started with a younger audience, which brought in parents
    3) Tik Tok started with a young audience, which will bring in the parents as you read this (I already notice older people following me recently)

History is just repeating itself, and Tik Tok has the potential to beat Instagram with all the BS new updates
(lower and lower algorithm/reach for average users, removing likes, disabling tons of big meme pages, main stream pages are running out of content, every new update the users comment on @ Instagram complaining, etc)

Plus he mentions not to forget to diversify your social media use (don't rely on just tik tok, don't rely on just instagram, etc)

& Alot more motivational talk for the people I see always complaining about their lack of motivation / potential or Knowledge

I definitely agree, twitter is still here. But celebrities don't seem like celebrities anymore on twitter (low engagement, high spam rate in feeds)

Edit: so Kim Kardashians 5 million likes could turn into 500k likes in the coming months/years depending on how instagram plays their cards

debatable but i too said not to long ago tiktok is an untapped oil mine. While we still struggle to bot on ig, some guy is making a killing already on tiktok.

There's tons of bots already on Tik Tok, but what bot are they using?

Just because Instagram decided to do away with bots and it pissed you off, doesn't mean that it is dead.

    LOL absolutely no chance.

Tik Tok is just in vogue, it'll go the same way as Vine...

I think it's the devs doing some testing,
Plus custom bots people paid for themselves

Yeah I wrote an easy guide about it to fix it, almost 50% follow back ratio , with 25% engagement back ratio, low quality feed with 8 videos

I'm not mad, nor am I affected by these updates. This is a motivational Video with tips, my TLDR version explains this above - don't rely on tik Tok, and don't rely on instagram. Diversify your social presence

    I suppose time will tell!
But don't forget how many famous people there are on instagram, because of vine ;)

They might out live tik tok, but that definitely doesn't mean there isn't tons of potential on tik tok! I seen somewhere they are pushing almost 800,000,000 downloads, that's almost 1 billion in such a short period of time, the first competitive app to hit that high of a scale to take on the Facebook family of apps. Since the audience is so young, and increasing into the ages of people in their 20s, the market is there! It's been #1 for Android the past month or longer

Yes there is potential but not nearly as on Instagram nor it will ever be (my opinion).

Almost all influencers in the USA are in love and need their likes,
For now instagram has a strong support beam.
But if they get rid of likes, tons of influencers will turn their backs to instagram after all their hard work to originally obtain it organically.

Once all the content creators turn their interests towards other apps (YouTube, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc.), Instagram will definitely never be the same again.

Right now if you get thousands of likes, anybody would buy the account just for the social status & potential business opportunities / etc. even people would pay you to post them & you can make a nice monthly income off that to start a real business, plus even get sponsorships/deals/hired/etc. If you have tons of engagement shown publically

But if you hide the likes, it destroys many income avenues / potential for influencers. People follow heat (they get less paid-ad offers, because it'll get annoying to constantly flaunt your stats for business, plus less people buy accounts, less people get talent deals because nobody knows where the eyes are, etc.)

It's a complete money grab. It ruins influencer advertisements / business, so big & small businesses just pay for sponsored ads / celebrity ads.

If there's no influencers / content creators winning, there's no memes / viral videos "doing it for the gram" , because why break your back & left leg , if you can't brag publically & build connections off the publicly shown 1million likes and 3 million views? It won't be worth it to try.

Celebrities don't make interesting content, I can only look at them in a different pose/outfit so many times before checking for memes/videos/etc ,
theyare definitely not as Interesting as the smaller content creators. if we cared about looking at people's pictures all day, we'd be on Facebook & Fan Pages/Groups
Instagram hits a different type of way, because of the content on there.

I would not be affected if they got rid of likes/etc. But at the same time, I also do not approve of it because we can all see a major loss handed to the market as a whole.
Social media used to mean "no middle man, anybody can make it" , without likes shown, that ruins new competition.

Competition moves us forward as a whole

I think IG came to an end for spammers but for real users its still there and doing good. Real people are glad with the new updates.
No more fake likes, fake engagements and fake followers = much happier users !!
    IMO

If tik tok remains #1 in the social app category, and #1 in the "apps" category, it'll surpass 1B downloads by 2020

Instagram is #3 in the social app category, and is #18 in the "apps" category, and more complaints by original users than ever.
(Same thing that happened to Facebook, we left Facebook for instagram, so Facebook bought instagram and we gave them a second chance, now they're messing with instagram & people are leaving instagram for tik tok)

It's much harder to go viral on Instagram if you're a real average user. (I've done it multiple times, but I'm an experienced marketer)

People are going viral left right and center on tik Tok because there's a loose algorithm which benefits all users & as you mentioned bots, there's hardly any bots so people follow back on tik tok assuming you're a real user

Have you tried it? Or just assuming?
