This guy makes today's "gurus" look like amateurs. Not a "how to" but a book about a true entrepreneur and some of the lessons he picked up on the way.

The Dream: How I Learned the Risks and Rewards of Entrepreneurship and Made Millions

"Gurbaksh Chahal started the Internet advertising company ClickAgents from his bedroom at the age of 16, having emigrated to the United States with his Sikh family from the small town of Tarn Taran, India. He dropped out of high school to pursue the venture full-time, and two years later sold ClickAgents for $40 million, making him one of the youngest self-made millionaires in history and allowing him and his entire family to realize their dreams. Chahal went on to become the youngest executive of a multi-billion dollar NASDAQ-listed company, and then sold his second company, BlueLithium, to Yahoo! for $300 million, turning many of his employees into multi-millionaires as well."

I have never read a PDF for over 10 minutes..But, I am gued to my screen for past 45 minutes, and I have done just half the pages.

A MUST READ FOR ALL WHO THINK THAT COMPETITION IS UNBEATABLE. Common people, MAKE YOUR OWN COMPETITION.

Please realize that each and every Sikh migrating to US have inherited tons of money from their grandparents when they sold their farms in india and invested in gold.

most probably his father gave him a few ton dollars to startup.

dont believe everything you hear till you see

Its a great story, but that period in the first internet boom was unprecedented. It was like the first gold rush. I doubt it could be repeated as easy.

I read the book, i have to say that i am impressed, was actually a good book, worth reading anyway, did not expect that.

Has some hardcore blackhat principles there: forget noble causes, go for the cash :D :D :D

I read this last night and it's a very quick read but a good one. It's short and to the point but is a little uninteresting in some parts (the secret millionaire for example). The other chapters more than make up for this.

To sum it up... Kid's are cruel, perception is reality and do things your own way provided you work hard.

Well, if you read the book, he says:

His family went to the US and left everything in India and G stayed in India with is grandmother. Later, in '84, his mother came to take them back.

If you read the history of Punjab, in '84, there were riots all around, noone could even think of selling anything, eave apart selling lands.

Plus, his father was in police, and not a farmer.

I don't think there are "secrets".. intelligence, hard work, investisment and "luck" are the must have weapons to be a millionaire.. .

By curiosity I think I will read this later.

Just got done reading the whole book. Great read for sure.

    I highly recommend it.

It really gets your entrepreneur juices flowing in the right direction.

(By the way, his family came to the United States with $25. Check out the Oprah interview video in my thread.)
