    Hi All,

My names Elliott and as far as posting goes I guess you could say I'm 'new' here. I'll be the first to admit, I've been somewhat of a leech in recent years however hopefully from now on I will be a contributing member of the community.. :D

The purpose of this post is to inform, investigate and with any luck find a fix/workaround for the current issues we all seem to be facing regarding Instagram marketing and the bots associated with it.

I think I have been part of the Instagram botting community ever since bots were available for it. I believe I've used almost every Instagram bot under the sun (both public & private) and up until today I was quite happy to have settled with Insta Assault as it quite literally does everything.. or should i say DID everything.

For those that are unaware, it seems that Instagram has pushed some sort of update that enforces a limit on your account preventing you from liking anymore photos. It seems that now if you like too much too quickly, or too much within a given period of time the limit is incurred. This limit then stays for a unknown period of time...thus killing all us keen Instagram botters in the process.

I'm curious to find out if anyone at all can use the 'Liker' module/function within any of their Instagram bots? I noted AustinION's post detailing bots that hes found to be running however I assume what he means by 'running' is that the bots open and do not crash. I wouldn't say any of the bots I've tried are 'running'... Certainly not at an acceptable manor. I've currently tested Insta Assault, Instaget Pro, Instaget and Ninjagram and while they load correctly the minute i start to initialise a task it likes a few pictures successfully and then begins to fail. I understand many of you are experiencing similar issues throughout different bots, I'm just wondering whether any of you knew a way around this? or perhaps had some 'safe' settings that were working for you?

To put this into perspective I'm now running Insta Assault with a delay of 10-13 seconds and I'm still occasionally getting limited. Up until today I could run the bot quite happily on a delay of 2-5. I run a reputation/brand management business and getting service restored to previous levels is imperative!

    What we do know
A limit appears to be reached when a certain amount of likes are carried out within a select time-frame.
Does not appear to be API related (the last big problem like this was API-Captcha related)
All clients/devices appear to be affected
Limiting stretches across devices - After using the bot, i was unable to like anything within the Instagram app (iPhone), Statigram or Instagram

What we would like to know
When a limit is imposed, how long are we limited for? Cooldown period?
What is the limit of likes?
What is the time-frame in which this limit applies?

Any two cents the community could add on this matter would be appreciated. I can't think what else to try! If you're still able to use an Instagram effectively (specifically the liking function) without hitting the limits would you mind sharing with us what software you're using and what delays?

    Thanks for reading
    Ell

I'm trying to create an informative, useful post that explains the recent Instagram changes and invites the community to discuss/brainstorm potential workarounds and possible fixes in getting their software working again. I'd put my post into pastebin and post the link but even that is in breach of the rules! What a joke.

Indeed just a few, what can I say... It's been a long day and the one good deed I try and do for the day is being prevented by some stupid forum robot that thinks I'm trying to sell the community something when In reality I'm just trying to provide information and invite discussion.

Now, Now Sweetie. That's just the BHW Super Condom protecting us from all sorts of interwebz trolls. Nothing personal.

Just copy and paste your message without any links ...perhaps a bit at a time and all should be well. Me thinks there are quite a few here that are interested in your Instagram theories. Myself included.

Haha, while you're probably right the way it currently stands it is simply deterring users. And all the forum suggests is that I purchase a subscription so I can bypass the moderation service... er NO?

Anyway LaLore, I've re-edited my post after spending 25 minutes crawling through it trying to upload piece by piece as you said and eventually it worked! Anyway lets get on topic (finally).

Instagram related responses please people :p

Dude no offence but this post wasn't intended to be another Instagram post you jump on and market the hell out've your product (i've seen many other threads similar). It was intended to simply inform the community of the changes and invite discussion relating to bots that are working and the settings they're using with these bots.

I know all about proxies and I don't need you suggesting me a 'good' bot

    Thanks

Those limits are server-sided. There is no way to bypass that. Bots send requests to Instagram and if they recieve them too fast they will just block the requests. OP is using Insta Assault its probably the best Instagram bot out there. I have this bot too its android emulated you cant go faster than that. Your post is a joke I can tell why you have neg rep

Could you PM me the app?

I'm currently using instafire, even with an 8 sec delay I still get locked from liking photos after liking around 13k.

Is a 10 sec delay the only way to go now?

Damn, 10 secs seems so long compared to running at 1-3

Instagram has went through some dramatic changes over that last year, with update after update attempting to remove internet marketers that are using bots on there site, this happens with all social media sites after they have established them self's, they first start out by welcoming the botters, then after they have a large user base they try to kick all the bot's out, but this never works %100 for any social sites or any populate site. The big problem that instagram is going to have is the way regular users are intending to use there network, all it take is one look at YouTube to find out that not just internet makers are using there site to mass follow, like, comment and unfollow, the fact with instagram is that all the users of the site are doing this now.

This is proposing a big problem for instagram in my opinion, because they are attempting to rid them self's of bots, but most user are doing things like this on there account manually and are not marketers at all they are just regular users, so when they attempt to put stricter and stricter rules in place, all they are doing is effecting the normal users of there site as well as internet markets.

Your suggestions of slow and steady is the best formula for the new instagram., and it has been so for a while now.

Does anyone know the limit for accounts created on the same IP? I don't have any proxies so I've just been making 5 everyday. My IP changes every 24 hours too which is nice :D

What bot do you use that will allow for delay between likes? I was using IGERSLIKE, but it won't allow for delay between liking each photo, only between photo sets...
