Hi , recently I had been trying to create an youtube based autoblog , which would fetch video description ( some extra description from a news site based on the title of the video) + embeds the video .

I tried MyvideoBlogLog , Tubepress,GF free youtube autoposter, WP-o-matic but none of them worked upto the mark .

WP-o-matic fetches the description and thumbnail great but does not embed video .

Myvideobloglog - does not post video when it needs too .

tubepress just embeds the video and nothing else although there is an option to post video_description too but it doesnt seem to work.

I ve heard people are having some great results with yahoo pipes and simplepie but I have no idea how .

Any insight in this topic please ???

Why not use more than one? Could tubepress and wp-o-matic work together for this purpose? As in one embeds, the other fetches the description for the same video.

NO tubepress just creates video galleries on single post and does not embed single videos .

wpvideotube will fetch and embed the vids and fetch the vid description and post it under it [or where ever you want--you can edit the post template even with the free version]. it only pulls youtube vids though.

Following along with what trapmuzik said, autoblogged seems to be server intensive.

I have not used autoblogged but have repeatedly read where autoblogged usage puts a major load on your server.

Here is what they say about it on their website:

    Code:

Try caffeinated content 335 or wp-videotube.
Both will do what you r looking for with maximum results and minimum effort.
    Hope this helps!

I tried WP-VideoTube awhile back along with Autoblogged and it worked alright for a little bit, but then WP-VideoTube would mess up the alignment on my pages for IE browsers and I couldn't figure out why, so I stopped using it.

However, with some modification I bet you could get it to work really well. Besides the formatting, the plugin was very reliable and effective.

i tested your feed on both the autoblogged template tester and my own server and it worked fine. It shows the videos and text with no problem. What does your end post content look like (i.e. view source code and look at the post)

    Hi, Trapmuzik,

I used Autoblogged, but I can only get description, picture, and link published automatically. The video is not embedded.
I wonder if you are using any special RSS of YouTube.
I am using an RSS of CNN Channel (link removed due to requirement of forum)
In a feed reader, the RSS does not show the code of embedding, so I wonder Autoblogged could embed video with such video RSS without code of embedding.

The post is more than one year old, but I hope you or other Autoblogged masters are still there. Thank you so much!
