The best way to rank a youtube video?

Hey friends,
what keywords should i use to rank a youtube video?
For example, say a term is widely searched on youtube, should i make that word/phrase my 1st keyword or what?
Also i heared that if you buy like 5k high retention views to that video, it will push it towards the top whenever someone searches that specific keyword.
the video that i uploaded has only like 5k views that i got legitimately but it is on the top of the 2nd page of youtube searches. how would i get it to the 1st page and how would i keep it there?

best way is to find your competitors videos and see how they do it, a free chrome tool i use is VidIQ which gives a good analysis of any video on youtube and it's free. http://vidiq.com/apps/vision/

some of the information that VIDIQ probably won't give you is information on your competitors overall channel. Google factors the channel authority, total channel video views, channel subscriber number, topic of other videos in the channel, etc. into the ranking of a single YouTube video. You will sometimes see YouTube videos with no backlinks, reviews, very few comments yet they are still ranking very high because of the channel authority.

reddit promotion for your vid is best way for me now days.

If you have a quality content and you have lots of visitors you can have it, you can even post on fb and can get more views

I have 1k subscribers, posted a video, got ~500 views.
Guy with 28k subscribers posts a video, got ~500 views. Out ranks me. L O L
