    Dear everyone,

The saddest thing on earth is the inability of people to think outside the narrow confines of their own indoctrination ("knowledge"). People will argue, and die, to support what is actually against their own best interests, because someone told them it was right.

    Sincerely,
    anonymous.

Earth is pretty much a zombie-land. I mean, if I can get 5% conversion rate with only 5 paragraphs, those involved with long term propaganda probably get around 95% conversion rate.

It's funny that I came across this thread right now. I'm actually writing a blog post for my personal blog about my beliefs right now, which pretty much is a macro-level view of this concept as a whole.

This is very true. What most people never realise though, is what they have been indoctrinated about and who the indoctrinators are. They create grandiose conspiracy theories, when the truth is much closer to home.

    Parents are the indoctrinators.

They have a world view they think is right and true and they impart that view to their children. That view will include their religious, political, ethical and cultural views.

It is so subtle and so subconscious that most people never even see it happening.

Almost every religious person in the world has been indoctrinated by their parents. Most parents' politics get forced upon their children. It happens with everything.

And the things we are taught when we are youngest are the things we hold onto most tightly.

The brainwashing is so deep that wars are fought between groups of people who are effectively defending their parents' world-view, and not their own.

And when you look at all the conflict, violence and belligerence in the world, it is the indoctrinated beliefs that cause the most trouble.

Have to agree 100% with you. Home is the first place where brain washing is done.

110% true. Even though most people are brainswashed by everything around them (media, politics, parents, whatever) there are always still a few people on this planet who manage to look behind and the scenes and really understand what's going on and take the world for what it is and not this made up image that the media is trying to show us.

I personally believe that in order for this whole system to crash it would take the average human being to get more intelligence. It is about the masses not just a few people. A few people seeing what's really going on in the world can't change anything but if the masses would actually understand it something would happen. But in order for them to realize that, the average persons IQ would have to raise at least 10% and this will most likely not happen. And if it happens it will take a few thousand or million yearst to do so.

A smidgen of critical thinking does away with pretty much all negative aspects of indoctrination.

And not all indoctrination is wrong or misguided.

    We're getting there.

I sometimes wonder if people even have opinions that are truly theirs or if we are all just regurgitating the opinions of the gatekeepers.
