So whats your opinion about this?

I already know about notepad++ and am using it :)

But is there anything better than that? There are many operations Notepad++ can't perform like splitting a huge list into small lists. (Like a 1Mil list could be split into 10 100K lists)

Your opinions are much appreciated :)

    Bk...

Notepad++ is excellent but you can't never work with big txt lists , TextPipe Pro will work with one more than 10GB text file , I personally tested with 2,66GB text file with 150 milion - lines - domains etc .
Notepad ++ is crashing when you try to open 300MB , and if this happily opens , you can't make any operation , TextPipe Pro you can do unlimited operations , it means youi setup tens or hundreds tasks , you memorize them in filter and with one click all tasks are processing , after 5 hours you have splitted 10GB file in unlimited pieces , sorted , renamed , converted , and you can also setup folder with file for every processed task , so you come and you have 10 new files and in every file you have exactly what you wanted .

I am using Text File Splitter for splitting large text files and TXTcollector for combining text files. Both programs are free.

    Code:

this is nice , there are many others free on the net , but it doesn't help you too much , if you split them to make them work in notepad++ or whatever editor you have to process those operations in those editors for every splitted file , in TEXTPIPE you can process all tasks in one several GB big file and then you can add final task to split , to sort or whatever ,
I repeat TextPipe has hundreds of filters and subfilters predefined to work with them , so you only drag and drop them and with one click will process all the tasks one after another. I don't know better tool than this . For me it is best of all converters , extractors , splitters , mergers , renamers , find and replacers by regex , etc (hundreds of tasks - and you can combine them together.
