I am using Mailchimp for my emailing campaigns and I can track my open rates.

I've noticed that simply putting "hello" as the subject permits to get a better open rate than putting anything longer or different.

Good luck with your campaigns :)

Do you know who you are mailing to? First know the people and why they would open emails, then know how to hook them into reading the full email.

Well it works for many type of campaigns, and prospects are not targeted (I tried CPA offers, selling ebooks, etc) and everytime it works best with "hello" as the email subject.

But I am sure if you target a specific type of customers (not as me), it should be better to specify a subject that fits their needs.
