This can probably be a very unpopular opinion, but, although living up to a life that can be a potential source of "millionairism" like IM, the only authentic way to preserve sanity is through austerity.

Money is the epitome of power, and power, as seen a million times in the past, is the major driver of insanity.

You can earn a ton of money, but money shall be only a consequence of your acts, not the goal, therefore not required to be deliriously spent or even spent at all. nonetheless, can be shared, reinvested or saved just for the sake of it (or burned).

Although, you can see plenty of videos with models of happiness through vicious consumerism in fake self-help instructors like Tai Lopez, or crazy over expenditure like Dan Bilzerian that probably drove a lot of people to this business (to name some). By any means, they are anywhere near to an apex of happiness, although could seem to find a little blitz of joy that will quickly be diminished by the hedonic treadmill effect, that keeps them rolling like a drug.

I've never found a single person that found the sanity through concupiscence as the opposite of austerity.

For sanity, stay low profile. When the first money starts flowing in, it seems hard, but it's possible. The only real thing that belongs to you is your consciousness, not the money you earn or the things you can buy with it. But don't be overconfident with it. It can be easily corrupted and lost in the process and it's very hard to recover. Trust me: Not worth a billion bucks.

So my recommendation: in your next journey for 2020, set up a extra task: stay low profile all the way through.

Probably there are a lot of testimonials around here about this. I'm sure there is a whole lot who think exactly the opposite.

Happiness should be the ultimate aim but prosperity comes in so many forms and not just money

That's why we must never lose sight of our goals. There must have been a reason why we wanted to earn money in the first place, we must not forget that in the process..
