I'm working on this content writing project which is already late. My dad calls on the phone and asks me to go to Walmart and get my mom some Twizzlers. I told him no bc I'm working. He said "It'll only take 10 minutes." I said "No. I said I'm working. I don't call you and tell you to get me something while you're working. That's rude and it disrupts your productivity." He said "You're working at home. You can come right back to it when you finish." I exploded. "What makes you people think I can just get up and go do whatever I want to do just because I work from my house? Working from home is still a job! I have deadlines to meet!" "It'll only take 10 minutes," he said. "Then you go do it," I said. And I hung up. Then I shut my phone off. I really want to set something on fire right now. I know it sounds like I've blown up over nothing but they are always asking me to do stupid things just because I'm at home. I'm still working. Just because I'm on the couch in front of a laptop doesn't mean I'm not working. I think they honestly believe my job is easy and I don't do any real work. So that means I'm just at their beck and call since I have so much free time. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
