    Hey everyone, SinfulPromotions here.

I was curious to know, how much do you guys spend on testing SEO theories? I understand they're just theories afterall... It's not really the on-page SEO that's giving me issues (though I will say it may or may not be perfect, as I am still perfecting it)... but it's the off-page SEO processes I'm not quite sure about.

Do you build these out all 100% manually over and over again? Or do you use automated processes to gain an edge (Obviously using automated processes or a VA would be awesome!) or a mixture of both?

The scenarios are not intended for keywords like viagra or crazy tough competition... This is more for Local businesses looking to rank organically for their keywords in some low-medium difficulty keywords.

I'm just simply looking for a little insight.. If anybody could point me in the right direction, or send me a message here or on Skype, I would deeply appreciate it.

you need to start checking the sticky threads and use the search function more, that will help a lot.

Question: What signs would I look for to rank a website if I was Google, to avoid all of the spammy SEO people cheating me?

Answer: The SEO theory rabbit hole...enjoy your journey.

Still learning off line process for local sites.

My question goes more a long the lines of... what next, after I build citations? Should I set up a set schedule for blog comments, Press Releases, Web 2.0's, PR links, PBN links?

I'm starting to get the idea of watering down the anchor text off page... can anyone point me in the right direction after that?

Basically, shift away from old theory of volume/low-quality links and move towards lower-volume high-authority links.

Often, the harder the link is to get, 'usually' the better it is to have.

Testing & measuring is as old as the hills in professional marketing, and it's the ONLY way for longer term success. But T&M needs to be done on a reasonable volume, as otherwise you'll get highly subjective and skewed results/expectations.

Regarding anchor-text diversity, I did a bunch of videos and explanation in 2012:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...anchor-text-profiles-post-penguin-videos.html

The precentages are now even more restrictive in most markets, but the priciniple remains intact.

The most important thing with testing seo theories is to track your rankings. Without measuring your progress testing won't help you at all.

You can only do as much manually, once you know what you are doing, it would get easier for you to automate for result oriented performance.
