    Hi all,

I know its Xmas morning but I have a few minutes before I start opening presents... :)

Anyway I'm not sure if many of you are aware but I found out you can actually install wordpress on your wamp server. You just create a database via phpmyadmin and proceed to install like you normally do. Am not sure if some plug-ins will work but I thought this is great for testing templates/themes without uploading to your server and wasting bandwidth etc. If you are interested in some awesome templates/themes to bolster your Wordpress arsenal visit my thread at http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ordpress-themes-templates-merry-xmas-bhw.html.

    Merry Xmas everyone :D.

Yes, that's correct. I'm using MAMP (for Mac). Your local server can completely emulate the live server so you can test anything.

The only problem is if you want to transfer that local site to an online server as WP doesn't have an easy solution (at least not to my knowledge).

You can also use Easy PHP to test everything on your machine without uploading on your server.
