hey guys i could use some help haha. I am new to the web designing and know the basics and what not and of course im using a simple html code editor dreamweaver cs4. Anyway i have a problem i got a hold of a template monster .. template and i do not know exactly how to use the template file. I can pull the HTML pages off into dreamweaver and edit them.. problem is that how do i edit the flash navagation bar to link to my pages that i renamed them to.. i am downloading adobe flash at the moment so i can edit the name on the navigaiton but how to i make them link to my index and what not?

You need to use Actionscript on the buttons that will the link to your pages. Flash navigations are awful for many reasons and aren't being used in modern design for a good reason. I'd say drop flash all together. But if you want to use Flash (despite all the downsides) just google "Actionscript links tutorial".

If you need anymore help, just let me know.

I think a lot of template monster templates include a full HTML version do they not?

They do but im not talking about a full flash site just the navigation. so there really is no load time on pages its less then a second to pop up and go.

Load time isn't a downside. There are many - for example, this thread. You wouldn't be having problems if it was css

well i would know what i was doing if i knew flash somewhat haha anyway i decided to go ahead and do it and ill have a HTML navigation below it for people that cant use the navigation that is flash..

You will need to use flash to edit it. Most likely it will be in actionscript and you will need to do a bit of studying to edit stuff. If its just text edits you are looking for you can always click your way through till you find the symbol in order to edit the text.
