Telemarketers License

Hey guys.. you may or may not be aware of this but in my area and a few others that i have checked - you are required to obtain a telemarketers license to make cold calls.

The reason im posting this is because a good handful of us do quite a bit of cold calling and wanted you to be aware of this. Not to long ago 14 people were arrested for operating without a telemarketers license. The people who employed these people were also charged...all charged with 3rd degree felonies.

Keep in mind these were people who were selling advertisements for a magazine but couldnt provide any information as to where the magazine was distributed.

Just a heads up...be careful out there.

This doesn't help anyone UNLESS you say where you are from.

As a "business owner" you should be doing your research if you do not want to end up in that type of situation.
