Telegram vs Discord

Which one would be better if I wanted to make a group chat and buy 50 accounts that I control to drive the narrative to my ideas? I wouldn't want chat history to be visible to new members and I think Discord doesn't allow that. On the other hand, it seems like it's way easier to buy Discord accounts than it is to buy Telegrams. On the other hand, Discord shows the date the account was registered and Telegram only does if you message first. On the other hand, I can hide the last seen on Telegram accounts and for Discord, even though it only says active/inactive, I'll need to find a way to always have some of my accounts appear to be online. On the other hand, Discord looks more legit and Telegram is associated with scams.

The basic idea is for when an actually interested potential client joins, I ''activate'' my army in the chat and I begin praising the service, showcasing success etc. A common tactic discussed on Twitter and a blackhat method for a totally legit biz service to create FOMO in potential prospects. Neither platform seems ideal though, what do you personally think?

I think Telegram is easier to control and manage for this. Discord looks more legit, but there are more visible details that can raise questions. Also, fake activity may help at first, but real users and real engagement matter more in the long run

My suggestion to you is to create accounts with SMS verification from Tier 1 countries—Switzerland, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, etc.

This way, Telegram will be more trustworthy AND it will be easier to acquire potential customers.

It’s also better in terms of ease of use and privacy.
 
Choose one platform you can manage transparently, focus on creating real value through clear explanations, demos, and honest testimonials, and let genuine engagement and trust not artificial hype drive interest and long-term success.
 
Both work really well. Telegram has lots of spammers lately kinda hate that
 
I can’t really advise on coordinated or deceptive account activity, but from a clean, long-term perspective, the platform matters less than how trust is built. What’s worked best for me is focusing on visible proof inside the group: pinned case studies, real screenshots, progress updates, and structured discussions that show ongoing results rather than hype.

Between platforms in general terms, Discord is stronger for structure (roles, permissions, onboarding, organized channels), while Telegram is simpler and more frictionless for quick interaction. Whichever you choose, consistency, transparency, and genuine engagement tend to convert better than trying to manufacture activity, and they keep you safe from platform issues and community backlash.
