I've got two domain names which both are great for technology news blog sites or something similar. One is nearly two years old whereas the other one is about four months old and I was wondering if people are still making money in the technology niche? Is it something that's worth entering during my spare time? It would of course only be White Hat. Would it still be making Adsense money? Or what would be the best way to monetize or maybe bring traffic/content to such a site/domain name?

Well, it sees like it would be kind of hard to tell unless you do it.

The only way you're going to know if it would be worth doing or if it would make you money is by doing it. Not posting and asking people if they think it would work.

If you make an autoblog and just scrape content and do what 90% of everyone else is doing, then I doubt you'll be making a lot of money.

If you put a spin on it, do something unique or come up with a way to improve upon this idea, then the chances are probably better.

Ya never know till you try.

Well I wasn't really asking people if they think it would work, what I meant was if it's worth going into the technology niche or not because some seem to say that this niche is dead. But I guess I might just try for myself. Without trial and error there is no knowledge. :)

The niche, meaning technology, is dead?
Technology keeps on expanding more and more... Far from dead.
Everywhere is using and needing technology..

No, there are like so many technology blogs out there that it's very competitive and hard to get in but this is where market research comes in, some people prefer to stick to certain sites because of many different aspects even though there may be better ones.

If you're going to be white hat, it's all about the content. Good content frequently updated on a topic that people are interested in and are spending money on will drive traffic.

The catch is to find a lot of quality traffic. Then you can have a good cpm and conversion rate. I think we can't say that adsense is dead, but its true that its getting harder to earn a good income with adsense
