    Hi all,

My first attempt at an an autoblog and I need advice or critique-I guess.

The site is babygearcentral dot info (can't post a link yet)

I need the positives & negatives- so don't be gentle:p

I have 17 other domains that I am trying to do and am using this first one as my training.

What am I doing right? What am I doing wrong?

    Any tips & advice appreciated.

The list of plugins that I am using:

    adsense injection
    akismet
    all in one seo
    automatic blog
    cc
    google analyticator
    google xml sitemaps
    one click plugin updater
    privacy policy 1.1
    reveal ids
    sociable
    wp-o-matic

    Then I have another question.
While trying to use my keywords to pull articles-I'm not having much luck-pulling articles with my keywords in the title.

So if anyone has some tips on how to seo this blog that would be helpful.

    Thanks a bunch,
    Deanna

If there is one thing that I have learned form the world of autoblogging, it is that the key factor to getting returning visitors is to make sure that they don't realize off the back that the blog is automatic. The first thing that I noticed when I went to your blog is the title. Baby Gear Central is a great title, don't get my wrong, but the layout of it, along with the plainness of the font made the header look extremely noobish. Maybe changing the font from the typical Arial Black will help to bring in a few visitors.

Also, you have an advertisement for an automatic wordpress blog poster in a 125x125 pixel box on your right sidebar. That's a great idea, but the only people who will be enticed by the ad are blackhatters, and blackhatters have a tendency to not click on spam ads. Try to gear your advertising towards what you are autoblogging about, baby gear.

Your content is ok, not the most narrowed-down, but definitely not as sporadic as some of the autoblogs that I have tried on Blogger based on Google Alerts and whatnot. One thing that I hated about it was the random placement of AdSense boxes wherever in the post. It splits up words and everything, and the coloration doesn't mesh well with the overall background color of the blog.

Your sidebar is very bland and empty. Try adding more widgets to the side. Either that or maybe decrease the number of posts on the main page to make the load time a little faster. Either one would add to the appeal of your autoblog's layout.

The final thing that I noticed was that in some of your posts it credits the original author of the blog. You want it to look like you wrote this shit, not someone else. That's a surefire way for someone to flag a blog as full of scraped content. But other than that, i don't see much wrong. It's quite a well put-together start-up autoblog. Good luck in your future ventures, and I hope that I succesfully tore your autoblog to little shreds. Sincerely,

    FreeTheTV

P.S.: I am mainly a Blogspot Blogger, therefore I'm not superaware of any anomalies in the plugins which you have specified. Also, I am not that experienced in the world of search engine optimization by keywords. I am more of a content individual. However, I still hope that my advice helped you out at least a little bit.

P.P.S.: I gave you positive rep because I like your niche concept and the way in which you went about starting the thread. Keep up the good work.

Like FreeTheTV said, make sure visitors don't realize it's an autoblog.

One way to do this is to not make more than a couple posts a day, and if you're going to post every day, don't post more than once. You have a ton of posts dated April 9. Chances are a human running a real blog wouldn't post 10+ times in a single day.

    Home Page:
    my 2 cents.....

    1. Change the logo
    2. More pictures in posts needed
    3. Do not have empty ad blocks on the right
    4. Blend the adsense, change the background to pink
    5. Do not show article source if its been spun

    On the plus side....

    1. Great length to posts
    2. Not to ad spammy
    3. Useful content and not to competitive niche
    4. Nice domain name

    Hope it helps
