Has anyone been able to make any money in this niche? Its a niche that 99% of the affiliate stay clear off because its so hard to make money especially using PPC. I tried it out once and figured if i could get clicks at around 0.02 cents per click i could still break even at around 300 clicks. I expected to convert every 300 clicks and it worked. Sold about 4 memberships over a few days but then paused the campaign. The best i could get was 0.07 cents per click. Make a few sales but nothing major.

Anyone else?

I make a few bucks almost every day selling ones with resell rights. So much I thought about running a contest for submitting drawings where all submisions would become my property, and then sell a new collection.

Poetry .com runs something simillar with their contest, but what they do is just print all the entries, then sell them in a book for $40 to all the entrants. Its a pretty good scam [a friend of mine entered 2 poems and asked me to buy it and send it to her, now I am not a poem critic but a lot of them were crap, but the writers could show that they were published]

Ok, that was off topic, but possibly gave you an Idea.

The niche can definitely be profitable, you just need to decide the correct way to monetize it. Are you going with a recurring type billing situation or a 1 time fee for membership?

I went with a 1 time fee CB program as an adw*ords trial and got about 50 nice low competition keywords (no "free tattoo" or anything like that) loads of clicks and nada. I have no idea why as the target site is very well set up and a stunning design.

Why some things work for one webmaster and not another I have no idea at all. When I started as an aff in 2000 a friend gave me a list of all his best sellers making him 20k a month...I never made a few pennies but did fantastic with other programs. Go figure.

To be honest, there is the saying that anything can be sold. It all depends on how creative you are. Take a look at some of the auctions on ebay, its amazing what some people will part with their money for.

i am looking at tattoo product on CB. My kwd research shows theres almost now competition for long tail. like lower back tattoos. just wondering why no ones competining for this on adwords, are the digital ebooks in this industry not what tattoo seekers want?

Sometime it has to do with a bit of habit. Speaking from experience as a person with tattoos. Whenever I am thinking of getting a tattoo, searching google for designs is not going to be the first or even tenth thing I'll do. Unlike porn or dating, searching google is one of the first things they would do.

I am also in the Tattoo niche and make a good amount of money from it

I tried his niche for almost a year using mainly WH
I had a steady stream f around 2k visitors a day but the conversion rate was next to zero.
I paid 0.05$ on adwords and got zero conversion, I ended up making around 70$ a month, less than I do a day on my other niches, so I left it.
As people say - anything can be sold, but I've decided to spend my energy on more profitable niche.
Prior to that I tried a fishing related niche selling products, nor e-books, and also had a next to zero conversion - I guess some products need to be touched and reviewed by eye before making a purchase...

I do not us adwords to promote my site and get 1000 visitors a day and I mainly sell ebooks, patterns and a few machines and power supplies from drop shippers have around 210 customers

So the bulk of your revenue comes from machines and power supplies?

no actually my revenue comes from the ebooks and patterns
