    Hey guys,

In the past I have always targeted 1 keyword = 1 page. So if I went after 15 - 20 keywords I would write an article for each. I am planning on trying a different approach, I want to start writing a 2000 word strong pillar article and target about 4 - 5 solid keywords within the article. How do I go about doing that? what would be the keyword density in this case? I usually leave it to 1%, so if I write a 2000 word article each keyword would be repeated 20 times? or should it be random?

Also how do I go about with h1 and kw in url for multiple keywords? I can insert pictures with alt tags for all of them but not sure how to do meta tags and other things with more than one keyword and make it look natural at the same time.

    All replies would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Forget about keyword density and just write naturally. You don't need to include all 5 keywords in the H1 header tags and meta tag of the post. Rather, you should put the keyword that gets the most traffic in those places. Then include the rest of the keywords in H2 tags and several times each within the article.

Well said, sorry to bump a nearly 3 year old post. I read Chris from XLBlog, http://www.rankxl.com/100k-searches/, and was wondering the same thing...
