I'm looking to target more than one keyword for the homepage. I have one of the keywords in the domain name, but now how do I get the other one in the URL? I'm using WP and I've set the second kw to be in the slug so that it appears like this kw1.com/kw2, although when you go to this URL it redirects you to kw1.com. Does this look legit for the search engines? What do you recommend? The EMD of the second keyword is available....

Why not just make a page for the other keyword?

I don't think putting the second keyword in the URL is so important, especially if these are related keywords. What's on the page and what are the inbound links will be far more important.

I like to use /%postname%.html and just break keywords out to subpages. Are you saying you have setup some kind of redirect? What exactly do you have in the permalinks settings?

I'm very frustrated actually, the keyword I discovered is very relevant to mine and it has double the amount of traffic mine has. I want the visitors to land on the main page because that's where I want them, actually it's a website I'm preparing for rental and I'll be selling ad spots on the homepage.

    Permalinks: /%postname%/
I don't have any redirect but the URL in the webbrowser changes to the root domain.
I'd like to add that the homepage is static and it's not an actual blog.

It's an option to buy the other domain and permanently redirect it to the first one. You said it is available.

It's not hard to optimize a page for two keywords. Just do proper on-page seo for the other keyword and then vary your anchor text when you build links to your homepage.

You have to add some content optimized for your second kw. Also do on-page SEO on your site and add second keyword in meta description etc.
