I sold a digital item on the site which acts as a middleman between buyers and sellers. The site is not releasing my $340 from 3 months. I have all the conversation proofs. What can be done in this case? Can I file some complaint online or so?

Don't they have support for why they do not want to release your funds?

Also if the site is playerup you can forget it.

Just ask them politely what's the reason behind this. If you are willing to take legal action then you may get your $340 but you'll be charged a good fee from your lawyer. I recommend not to take legal stuff but try to solve the issue through call or live support.

If this site is from your own country, maybe there is some advantage in taking a legal action, otherwise it is not worth it, it will be really expensive.

Hey dude, can you 100% back it up? do you have sufficient proof? If so, what is the origin of the website?

US-based or a tier1 country, if they really do not release your payment then this is actually good for you! You could find a lawyer who will work with you to sue the website and get you a settlement (He will take his fee from the settlement)

Forget about it. Legal action for 340$ like others say will both be a struggle and will cost more than the actual money they owe you.

Legal action won't work here, but honest reviews may. Post negative (though realistic) reviews everywhere possible, including their social media channels. Don't play with emotions, just write what exactly happened.
Then send them email that you will delete/edit the reviews only if they release the money they owe you immediately.

In this case, for this sum of money, this is your best chance to get paid. It may still not work, but worth a shot, especially if $340 is a lot for you.

Seriously?
Anybody mentioning a lawyer lol... Assuming the country is in the western hemisphere look at lawyers hourly rate.

Why are they not releasing is what you did not say?

If this is a big business, and it does not pay you on time regardless of the amount owed, this is a matter of principle.

I am not saying it is 100%, but if they owe you money and are not paying but generate a good amount of revenue, and you have not violated any of their TOS, and your product is legal then you can definitely seek a lawyer's advice and see what they have to say? If there is a chance of a settlement based on them not paying out then going through court the payout is probably not going to be $340, it will be a lot more.

This is similar to an employer holding your last paycheck and not paying on purpose. You could probably file a claim, or you could get more money. If there is a way to file a claim then you do not need a lawyer for that. If there is a chance of suing the company and getting more money then the lawyer will be on board and he/she will take his cut out of the settlement that you receive.

This is pretty standard practice in the US, I do not know about other countries. Logically there has to be a way to get your money without putting in much work.

This is not worthy of legal action whatsoever. No attorney in America would take this case on a contingency fee basis. Simple lawsuits like this still cost thousands of dollars and an attorney gets up to 40% of the settlement. This is not the same as holding a final paycheck as that is a far far more serious matter covered by its own legislation. Speak with the site and if not leave a bad review and make their image look bad.

Al this talk about lawyers.

In the USA this is small claims court and costs about 10.00 to file.

What other countries do I have ZERO clue but for USA it is a cheap bet.

Only problem is that you have to file in the state court of the defendant. Probably Delaware for most companies of this type. You've got to organize paperwork, service on the other party, and actually attend court in another state. That still comes at a cost.

You do not have to be there in person - that can be done telephonically.

For those asking why they are not releasing the funds, they sent me payment updates regularly initally. Asked for my payment information and confirmed that they will pay. There are many transactions happening there and thus I thought it is genuine site.
