    First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I couldn't really find a good place to put it and I figured since it relates to making money (aside from the whole forum being related) this would be a good place to stick it.

    I'm just confused on the whole PLR concept. I googled it and found a lot of information, but if someone would answer my questions I would appreciate it.

    Do you buy someone else's product and receive full resell rights and are allowed to make changes and put it under your name? Then essentially take that and sell it as your own product?

    Say for example I didn't know anything about jailbreaking iphones, but there was some PLR product on that and I get it and then sell it for a profit. That's all legal right?

    Finally, are there any completely free PLR products where maybe there's like an affiliate link thrown in or something, but you can sell it and take 100% of the profit, besides the affiliate earnings?

    Basically I want to get into a niche that I know nothing about and sell products/information because I think it would be profitable. I would rather just get something good for cheap or free and sell it as my own rather than do quick research and provide crappy information. Is that what PLR is or am I just dreaming :D

    Sorry for the rambling on, but I appreciate the replies.

    PLR = Private Label Rights.

    Unless stated somewhere else, this means you're free to alter/repackage/resell the content.

    There are lots of PLR products out there. I've repackaged 100% PLR software and video into my own product and put it up on CB.

    Usually though, PLR e-books or whatever are given out as free bonuses when you buy an info product.

    Most PLR products have been done 10 times over, so it's pretty hard to sell it. Most are also in the IM niche (where even the noobs are a tough crowd to sell).

    Great thanks for clearing it up for me! I thought that's what it was, but I wanted to be sure before I got someone on my case for selling something of theirs.

    Lol that's not utilizing it to it's potential at all if you just use it as bonuses. Also fuck the IM PLR most of the IM plr are utter crap.

    But niche plr is quite awesome:D

    to add a little to my statement about just using it as bonuses. You can use it for newsletter content, free reports, reports to put up on ebook sites with a link back to your blog or squeezepage. Tons of different stuff you can do
