Some of you guys have mined a Bitcoin or two here and there - and some of you may even have a top notch mining rig.

But if you ever wondered what a big mining operation looks like, look at this video. It's in China and is one of the biggest Bitcoin mining operations in the world - and this is just one of the six sites these guys run.

They make $1.5 million per month.

Now that's what I call scaling something up!

This guy really knows how to scale sh1t up

As awesome as this is, it truly is a waste of power and China has a huge problem with power usage. I hope that they one day find more money in mining data to cure diseases instead of an intangible product.

I posted about some Chinese bitcoin mine in August last year. Is this the same one: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/cryptocurrency/698150-inside-chinese-bitcoin-mine.html

It could well be actually. Towards the end of this video one of the guys is playing online games and his screen doubles as a security monitor. And in your thread there is something strikingly similar.

If it's the same guys, they've been adding a new factory each month - fair play to them. You've got to admire their industriousness.

I would buy solar panels all over the place and save up power.

Not only are they are renting a floor of a building,so they don't have the ability to get solar panels, but it would not be that cost effective to get solar panels for only being able to operate a few hours a day on it. It would take over a decade for them to recoup the cost of a 1.2MW solar plant from energy savings.

So is there any benefit to the way they handle the system in regards to allowing dust buildup? It seems like they could save alot of equipment if they installed some air filters for the air thats coming into the room.

I have no idea. It's their 6th mining operation though so I'm sure they've figured out what works and what doesn't by now - and what makes the most profit.

Perhaps the machines have such a short lifespan it doesn't matter to them
There's also a huge amount of air being sucked through those fans, so maybe filtering such a big volume of air is just too expensive.

They must be using ASIC miners and getting them for a fraction of the price they go for in America.

First of all thanks for the share OP , actually I found it interesting and kinda opened my eyes ,about what ? about what other dudes are doing to be the hardest workesrs in the room ,laziness is kinda making things stuck a lil bit , I talk from my own experience , back in the day I didnt know anything about IM , I just found a method randomly , tried and worked and then scaled it up ,of course it was much easier back in the time but honestly there are so opportunities even nowadays , what scares me mostly its the fact that lately I have the motivation a lil bit and have not spent enough time on the IM-related stuff, which is pretty disappointing as long as my only income source has to do with IM , once again in order to achieve something you gotta be the hardest worker in the room as long as there are plenty of competitors in like everything , choosing to do something and becoming probably the best at the field and also having a positive mindset is what I guess may lead to success in the near future ,once again I am really really amazed about what those dudes have done , which is pretty amazing

I would like ask same question asked to chinese guy in the video. Do you think it's a good time to buy or invest in bitcoins?

Holy shit. That's BIG. Interesting how people really took it to the next level
