Tag still got use in SEO?

I stopped using tags last year and use only categories now. I have analyzed user behavior on my websites and no one clicked on tags... Moreover, If you have a good structure of your website, it will be indexed without any problems.
 
On the contrary, tags seem to inject too much content duplication into a site. First thing I do to a Wordpress install is take out tag navigation.
 
Tags don't have direct effect in SEO but they can help building better internal link structure and user experiance.
 
Do keep in mind we are talking about tags, not meta tags. Tags are outdated largely, but meta tags are still useful and should be done with care.

you are right , But if anyone want to use tags for a particular targeted visitors who uses tags , You are most welcome.
 
i still use them in some of my blogs, it all depends what you want to achieve...in most of the blogs, i dont use them at all
 
I dont use tags.

They create a unecessary link on your page and dup content.
