One of the biggest gripes members here seem to have is the number of posts that are made in certain threads in the BST section seemingly made to drown out negative reviews. Whether fake or not (I'm not suggesting there are any fake reviews!!!) I do find it annoying when I am reading through a sales thread trying to find positive experiences only to be greeted by 3 pages of:

Code:
Order placed. xxxxxx57291
Ordered xyz package
2nd order placed

etc

Just having a quick browse on the xenforo forum I found they use a tab system themselves which would eliminate a lot of this and allow our users to read the content they want.

I'm not entirely sure of the best way this system could be implemented but I'm sure the more technically minded among us could think of a few decent ideas.

I know from reading previous suggestion threads that 'out of the box' plugins do not work well with this forum and I get that, but if it can be done then it would most likely be a very welcome addition for both members and sellers alike. It would allow members to read exactly the content they want to read instead of scrolling through pages of the type of content in my example above and it would prevent accusations against sellers of drowning out negative reviews with fake positives and 'Order placed' type posts.

If it can be done on xenforos own forum then surely it could be used here as well.

I do like this idea, but reviews will need to somehow be posted differently than regular posts, I'd imagine. We would then need to ensure that reviews aren't being posted in the regular posting section.

Honestly, I'd prefer if we just had the sellers upload a sample of their report or whatever it is they would provide samples of (links to sample websites, pdf reports, etc), so that instead of 20 pages worth of people requesting samples, they simply click a button and have that pre-uploaded sample sent via E-Mail or PM to the person who requested it. This can also apply to coupon code requests and review copy requests. Click a button to receive the information that the seller sends to everyone who requests it, anyway. This saves the requester time and keeps threads from being unnecessarily bumped.

I do like the review tab idea, as it will allow people to quickly check through what buyers have to say with regards to each star level of reviews.

I would guess that when creating a post you would need to select which tab the post goes in. Not entirely sure but there has to be some method of selection.

Obviously some posts will end up under the wrong tab but I'm fairly sure that would be no more work for the mods than moving a thread to a different section of the forum.

I just think the BST threads will be neater if they are organised into separate sections for reviews, posts confirming orders, sellers offers/discount codes and review copies. It would be much easier for users to navigate as well and see the information they need without scrolling through hundreds of pages 1st.

This is a great idea!

I just give up if I don't find a review in the last 2-3 pages of a BST. Also, as you said, it would stop sellers from drowning bad reviews with quoting half the BST or posting their sales graphic again.

One concern of mine, is what happens to the plethora of reviews that already exist? How would those be rated on a star level or similar design and migrated to fit the new system?

Obviously it isn't a perfect solution for migrating past reviews but another issue people have is sellers posting outdated reviews.

Maybe all but the most recent reviews should be archived somewhere in one of the newly created tabs. Not sure if that would be a resource drain on the forum or a complex task for mods. Maybe there are even better solutions but I reckon separating reviews and reposts of huge graphics from other messages in a BST thread would be beneficial for all.
