Been going hardcore using GSA SER to build out my T1 sites for my websites the past few weeks. I did not think about sites like ahrefs that will allow people to see my link footprint.

All it will take is 1 competitor to rat me out to G for a manual review. Since i do not own any of these T1 sites, is there any way to protect my money site from the seo crawler bots?

I am assuming there is not a way because i would need to own the sites in order to edit the robots.txt or .htaccess.

Well,

You're on the right path.
In order to better protect your site, you should use just a few high quality/legitimate looking links pointing to your moneysite, and than use gsa on them as T2.

I assure you it's going to work almost the same way, just better and long-term.

Cheers

I could block the crawlers on my money site, but i figure they get the link data from the T1s.

Yea i guess using GSA for T1s is a lazy mans way of doing it. I got my T2/T3 automatically using verified T1 links, so there is no need to manually keep track of them. I started out making web 2.0s in fcs networker, but decided that its a pain keeping track of them. Am definitely starting to like the idea of parasite hosting for T1s, even though i cant block the crawlers on them.

We have seen top ranked sites which do not have a link profile on ahrefs. There is a way to block most links.

Blocking on your own site is easy but there are probably other techniques to avoid leaking the link profile on ahrefs.

The same happened to me Manual Action haters never leave alone ..
My Advice start new site with clean links and try to make sure ahrefs bot not reaching your links sources
BTW Ahrefs not honor robots.txt rules you should block it using .htaccess only
