Hey all,

I am at the lowest I can go and I have to swallow my pride to write this thread. I have 2 clients that are refusing to pay invoices which has basically left me without funds. I have tried everything I can do to get them to pay but they arent budging. I have even tried to get work at those temp places, but no luck. Trying not to get into any dramatic details, but the electric company just came out to turn my lights off and I called them and with having 2 small children they gave me until 5 pm cst to come up with it.

Is there anyone that can help me out with either a donation or some work that I can get paid upfront for? I would never have posted this thread if I wasnt in desperate need.

If you are willing to help I would very much appreciate it because I would hate to have my kids stay somewhere else because I have 2 people that refuse to pay their invoice.

I only need $150, I was able to scrap up $75 of it. I can donate it back to the forum as soon as I can get the client to pay.

Thanks to all who can help.

I can send you something. Will Paypal work? We've talked in the past about designing a landing page...maybe you could advertise that for folks. Once you get back on your feet, I'd love to have you make one for me. Let me know...;)

I appreciate it, I sent ya a pm, and also sent ya one before about your landing page.

I read it, Was looking into the "partnership" more. Kinda curious on what it details.

Thanks for the offer.

Hey all,

I have 2 clients that are refusing to pay invoices which has basically left me without funds.

If you did web/graphic design/articles etc for these clients and have given them the works and are waiting for payment. Here is a little trick we used when we had deadbeat clients.

Write to them and remind them that until they pay you in full, that you own all intellectual property rights to the work and by not paying you they are using the work without permission and violating the DMCA.

Tell them that they have 24 hours to pay or you will be take immediate action and file a DMCA complaint.

Nine out of ten times we were paid within the 24 hours

Thank You very much for that information. I have already suspended their sites from the hosting account and I will sure use that tactic.

Again, I appreciate the information.

If you don't mind I am going to offer my .02. I have just concluded some business with Xplicit. One of my clients needed some work done, fast. We needed a new back-end for a site, and needed it immediately. Xplicit found what we needed, set everything up, handled the transition of the database, essentially saved the day quickly, efficiently, and for a very reasonable price.

I have had the opportunity to speak with him quite a bit in the past couple weeks. He knows his stuff and more importantly - knows what he doesnt know. We are planning on using his services again in the very near future, but what we need done is not going to solve his problems. He has told me about his situation and it is fairly dire. You can can be confident that if you enter into some sort of pre-paid or partial pay arrangement with him, he will not abscond with your money.

There are some scumbags floating around here, and I will out them as soon as I have permission from my client, but Xplicit is not one of them.

He has a work not welfare attitude, so if he is asking for help (edited, bad choice of words), then I am fairly confident its serious.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks Buzz,

I appreciate the post. I am not looking for a handout and will work off or repay anything I receive. I actually didnt think the bill was that late or would have done something sooner work wise.

But you cant argue with the big companies. I appreciate everyone that has helped so far and will pay it all back either with a donation, back to the person, (I am keeping names) or by my help on the board.

If anyone needs anything done, free or paid, please do not hesitate to ask. The members on this board truly treat one another like family, and I thank you all for the help.

WELL!!! Scuse the bump but.... are you blackhat or just black hearted?

I have only one thing to say....

Always do the right thing....
