    Hi everyone,

We recently saw a drop in our overall search result rankings so we checked our Google search console and it looks like at the same time as the SERP drop there was a boost in the number of pages being indexed on our site + a boost in the pages being blocked by robots.

Please ignore that same boost earlier in the year, this was caused by our filter feature being introduced and creating loads of new URLs. We fixed it by added a noindex tag to all collection pages containing tags. The code hasn't been touched since in that area.

We haven't recently changed anything significant on the site that we think could cause this so I wanted to ask if anyone had any ideas on why this has happened because it looks like this is what caused the drop in the SERPs.

    Thanks in advance

There's a high chance it's connected to the serp drop, but can't you see there what became blocked by robots and which pages dropped? Maybe you can find a connection there... People say there was a highly possible google algo update starting on 12th of Dec which caused a lot of old pages move up and down in serps
