[Suggestion] reset banned members' profile picture

As we all know, members often have logos as their profile pics. Keeping the profile pictures as they were, allows banned members to keep having their business or brand mentioned in old threads.

To be clear, I'm talking about perm banned members and not temp banned ones.

This is something I’d agree with. It would help members that aren’t as familiar with what being permabanned means.

There was a picture that was once applied that had some guy and a candy cane? I haven’t found it in awhile though.

I’ll leave this up to field opinions from the rest of the community. :)

The candy cane thing was offensive and had no business on a forum that is dedicated to IM but I like the idea of removing the avatar if it promotes.

Let's keep this open for discussion and also allow an Admin the opportunity to pop in here.

Seems only right that they and their posts are removed completely, though imagine that may be harder to do if other members engaged in the discussion. They certainly shouldn't continue benefitting from the community even if that is only through a business or brand logo, etc.
 
I think a profile pic that just says 'BANNED' while somehow adding somekind of text to each message the user posted saying 'This memeber was banned due to .... (reason)' but before or after the message and not under the profile name so it would be clear to newcomers understand what's going it

the position of the message is what matters because seriously, who reads the profile name, i keep seeing posts and keep reading and don't notice that this user is banned until i read a full thread and just luckily move my eyes to the left and notice that
 
Good suggestions. Other forums that I know of already have this in place. It would be cool to see this on BHW as well.
