    Okay so here's the story:

I've got a couple of friends who want to jump into IM. They've been behind me for a week now, calling/emailing me over and over to get them started. Well, I don't have that much spare time to teach them LOL so I promised that I'd send some ebooks their way so they can read and understand the basics.

Now, I'm looking for some ebooks/vidoes course/website for ABSOLUTE beginners. There shouldn't be rubbish stuff like "make $100 a day just typing your name" LOL...
Basically, I want them to understand how things work in IM. Like they need to have a website, then what is SEO, why is it necessary for everyone in IM etc...

    I couldn't find anything yet...

    Figured, I'd ask you guys...

Any help will be highly appreciated :)

Again, they guys are just plain dumb when it comes to IM. They don't know shit so please keep that in mind before your suggestion :p

    Cheers.

I would recommend this very nice and popular e-book to make money with Facebook. Its very simple to follow and realistic in approach. A lot of BHW members are following it to make money.

    Hope it helps!
    Thanks

If you want to get into "whitehat" marketing then I would recommend an old but still green ebook called "the underachiver" by frank kern , all you need to do is apply some twists and the method will work like charm. Also another good starting point for a begginer is the http://www.challenge.co/ ( by ed dale)

    Cheers,
    Stoica

Thanks for the links guys, thanks and +5 rep to you three.

But what I'm really looking for is a basis started guide to make very basic SEO concepts clear in readers mind...

    Like

Why does one need a website/blog? What can they do with their blog/site?
Why does one need to rank high in Google?
    You get my point...

SEO wise an absolute must read from front to back for beginners is "The Art Of SEO" followed by "Outsmarting Google"

Sure they are both pretty big books to read, but if they go through them both SEO should become pretty clear to them. Plus it's a few golden nuggets throughout that many on the forums never mention. I think both could be found in the download section a while back as well ;)

I actually had to get a hardbook copy of them both even after reading them due to them being so essential for me when I first started.

By going through them they should also be able to see for themselves the importance of building a well SE Optimized site...

The thread by IamNRE for keyword research, although there are a few things left out and some things I don't completely agree on, is nonetheless a must read for beginners.
    It can be found here:
    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/266300-method-step-step-keyword-research-newbies.html
And he also did a pretty good one on On-Page SEO here:
    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/277557-method-step-step-page-search-engine-optimization-optimization-newbies.html
If they nag about the books being to long show them the average salary of an experienced SEO person found here:
    Code:
    http://www.indeed.com/salary/SEO.html
They should put 2+2 together as to why that profession gets paid so much:D

And finally this is a good guide to help them build wordpress sites starting out shared by a fellow BHW member:
    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/web-design/276321-build-wordpress-site-step-step-guide.html
That pretty much would cover everything they need to be on the right track, besides learning Copywriting and writing professional articles for their site which unfortunately they may just need to dive into a collection of books to learn since I can't really recommend just one atm.

    Enjoy! :plane:

I posted this in another unrelated thread today. After I thought about it I figured it could be most useful to you as well. Sorry for not rewriting, I feel like CRAP today. Got some sort of infection. :(

    ----------

    @OP. Ok, here's my secret.....

Read the Beginners Guide To Internet Marketing. It should be required reading for everyone on BHW. NOTE: not my book, not my site, not my links. (http://www.mediafire.com/?0fmsqjhw0jcluv9)

It shows you a killer way to make alot more than $1 a day for less than $40 invested, you can even get started for just $10. I make about $100/day with it on average now, been doing it for about 5-6 weeks.

Basically for $10 or $37 (depending on how much you want to spend - and earn in return) you get the rights to sell your very own product that everybody and their brother is dying to buy....I won't ruin it for you, the guide explains everything a whole lot better than I can, but you basically have two ways to make money with it:

Option A. Follow the guide step by step and you'll make about $300/month your first month. It's semi automated, can be fully automated if you choose. Every few weeks you'll make more and more, you could be making $100/day in a few weeks. If you already have some social following on twitter or fb then you can be making alot more in a matter of days.

Option B. Skip the guide and just get the ebook inside the guide (read the guide and you'll understand what I mean). Either get tweet attacks pro, SB, AMR, BMD, comment kahuna, or just any way at all to post a link in alot of places (twitter, facebook, youtube, blogs, forums, basically anywhere). You can also do this manually if you wish. The more links you post the richer you get.

For every sale you make 100% profit, it's your product so you don't share commisions with anyone. It's not an affiliate program or anything like that. It's your true blue product that you had to do 0% work to create.

Like I said I make $100/day now. That's a whole lot more than $1. I spend about 4hrs/week on it and it only cost me $37 to start. The links I build are permanent, they are my little army of workers earning for me 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If I can do this I know you can. I'm not lucky, devoted, or even good at what I do :D It's just a good system.
